I figure I'll reach the level of Resident Cretin in the year 2055.
To me, it isn't always about quantity, it's about consistency.
Which is something I haven't quite reached yet, actually...... |

That's like two or three posts a day... Just post 12 or more every waking hour. |

It's not about the amount of posts you have....
It's about not having a life. |

being a resident cretin is not something to be taken lightly. it takes years upon years to learn the art of crafting a perfect post. first, the proper topic must be chosen. then, catch phrases must be created so that joey can steal them. then, forumspile.com must be consulted to find the perfect, cutting edge image to supplement said post. then and only then, countless hours must be spent in an attempt to "recreate the magic". this is indeed the difficult part - doing it over and over again, leaving the masses yearning for more, is what it means to be a resident cretin. for if we resident cretins were not in the upper tier of posters, we would have been run out of here on the receiving end of sharp stick years ago (see photo: Pavlov's Dog).
anybody can have a few good posts and ride the glory for awhile. anyone can be a terrel davis. but it takes a special breed of individual to make it to "the next level". not everyone can be a jerry rice. |

i respectfully disagree. speaking for the rest of the resident cretins around here, we all have productive, fulfilling lives and are able to balance our numerous quality posts with the good that we do in the community and our families. josh, for example, earns a high income, has three wonderful children, and still manages to post an average of 41 posts per day over the course of the last six months. when he isn't working, playing with his children, posting, or making love to either his beautiful wife or his latino secretary, he is volunteering at the local ronald mcdonald house for motherless children of deceased crack addicts. when glenny isn't serving coffee and peanuts, and when he isn't near his computer striving to keep all the rocks off community involved in the goings on in world events and who lindsay lohan slept with last night, he is down at the local soup kitchen teaching english to migrant workers in the hopes that they too may one day attain the american dream. when pdog isn't shuffling san francisco's elite citizens around the high rolling hills of that beautiful city and keeping us all in stitches with his "i love rat porn" posts, he is performing blood pressure checks and giving backrubs down at the local nursing home off of haight and 4th st. and i, of course, chair a foundation for supporting the development of one handed midget john lennon impersonators. and joey.....uh....joey....ok, you have me there. joey definitely doesn't have a life. but the rest of us are all upstanding citizens. |

Sadly, no. the admins have their own 'status'
Anyway, we can amend the necessary quotas (and names) as we wish. maybe we'll bring it down by a few thousand.
>But i hope i can be "Resident southern hemisphere cretin".
just for you, my koala hugging friend...with a few adjustments to the quotas here and there to update things...

gazza, you musn't! this would show a weakening of the gene pool, a cheapening of the title. soon any tom dick or harry would be able to post nonsensical musings about when they took their last shit, or pictures of their dogs and cats, and the words "resident cretin" would mean nothing. to have that hallowed monkier attached to his or her name means "I am somebody!".
Gazza, I beseech you: don't make this an entire forum of somebodies!
