Soul Singing -> Soul Singing Jam
Nonfiction -> Jam
Gone
By Your Side
No Speak No Slave

Pre-Road Downs
The show was somewhat on the short side compared to the 2 previous nights but I'll take this show & setlist over the other 2 nights anyday. The boys rocked hard and props go out to Rich Robinson tonight for playing some outstanding leads. I read someone else's account for one of the previous shows stating that they had to keep looking to see who was jamming the solos at times because Marc & Rich were so in-synch with one another. VERY TRUE
If you guys get to catch any of the Crowes shows this year don't miss 'em...they are as close to the 70's era Stones you are ever going to get today as far as jamming rawk 'n roll! |

I was at last warm-up gig, billed as "mr crowes garden"
on the 19th, YIKES! Always thought that if this band became a little more adventurous/spontaneous/improvisational..and stetched out more that they could really carve out a nice little spot in r'r history...from what I heard/saw at this show, they COULD be on their way..What a very pleasant return to the fold! "Don't Do It" absolutely shaked this little venue in western Mass, very much like the Bands version. I think the recent shows that Chris played with Phil Lesh and Friends out west was nothing but a plus for Chris. Todays music scene needs the Black Crowes!
Should know next week about Stones at Fenway...but I think its already in the bag.YES!!

Welcome to the board CYHMK, totally agree with you, we need the Black Crowes. Chris Robinson NEM was great too, I think the 2 albums he released are great and the shows were very good. It's such a great singer. I often listen to the Phil Lesh gigs of December, it's such great music !!
You americans are so lucky to have the Crowes and Dylan doing great shows this year, can't wait to see them in Europe. |

WOW! nice setlist from last night. I wish I had gone twice now. I'll have to catch 'em at PNC this summer with Tom Petty. There were a lot of folks @ TGIF lookin' for tix on Friday night. Good shows - I feel they are tryin' the "B songs" out on the NYC crowd to see which ones they should mix in with the hits when they tour with Tom Petty... just a thought? They also might not give a shit either way & they are just jammin' a good mix of tunes for all to hear (that's more like it). Great band coming at a great time for Rock 'N Roll fans who are starving for the JAM!
Thanx for the pics by the way...saw them on "Amorica" yesterday. |

Well, I guess I don't totally mind The black Stones....er I mean Crowes music. I just cant watch Chris Robinson for more than 45 seconds at a time. Too much Mick involved in his routine. I do really like their "Lions" CD however.
Oh yeah, what's with them and their surprise club gig's these days? Can't they do anything unrelated to The rolling Stones?

dude - they were warm-up gigs. do you think that the stones are the only band in the history of rock n roll to play a few warmup club gigs before embarking on a major tour..?
try not taking yourself, and matters related to rock n roll, so seriously... we are not all out to get you. honest.

saw them last night and they fucking owned. I'm a little bit torn deciding if last nights show, or the other time I saw the Black Crowes was the best show I've ever seen, but I think I'm really leaning towards last night's. I can't wait for a Philly or a Jersey date now |
