TampabayStone Final saw it last night. What did you all think? I liked it a lot. Don't want to spoil anything, but if Carmela did not get in the way, I think it may have ended differently. Nice that he did not blame her but the carpet.

voodoopug i dont think so, it was just a drunk ego battle. Tony has shown the ability to fight without killing (see: Jackie Jr., Muscles Marinara). He only kills if there is emotions involved (see: dead horse)

Saint Sway yet another boring episode that followed the awful formula of the last 3 seasons:
50 minutes of mindless chit-chat and 5 minutes of actual plot/action.

heres the breakdown:

Tony & Bobby sit on boat and talk: 5 minutes
Tony, Janice Bobby & Carmella have dinner: 10 minutes

Carmela joins Tony staring at lake: 2 min
Tony, Bobby, Janice & Carmela hang out by lake and talk: 5 more min

I laughed too:

"The Parker Brothers spent a lot of time developing a game of skill, we shouldn't disrespect them like this!"

MikeyC613 Janice butchers "Out of Time" by our Boys.

Thru and Thru
Undercover of the Night
Moonlight Mile
Out of Time

there could be a "Side Stones" of a Sopranos LP.

The ep was a little slow, but I think it's going to pick up

Saint Sway Episode 2 of season 6 of "The Shield" is on tonite.

The Shield = Best Show On TV EVER

thats a good one. Also, as a Mick from the Kitchen, I was enjoying Black Donnellys, but I think it may be cancelled...

Shield is tops though... Michael Chiklis, Forest Whitaker... great cast. They had Glen Close on season 4 and she was amazing. Good stuff. They get away with some racy stuff

The Wire has got to be in the top 3!
10th April 2007 04:30 PM
gimmekeef Yup Donnellys are gonzo....Another couple of cable shows that I liked are:

Dexter
Weeds
Big Love
10th April 2007 04:38 PM
Saint Sway Dexter was awesome. Some of the cast was awful. But Dexter and the other serial killer were great. Just a genius show. Wonder how it will continue in the next season? Maybe the sister has a dark side?

thing that surprised me about Black Donnellys was that its a network show. I noticed it airs at 10. But still a lot of violence and drug reference for an NBC program.

Joey " yet another boring episode that followed the awful formula of the last 3 seasons:

Man , you said it !!!! ....throughout entire episode I was thinking , " What time does Entourage come on HBO ?! ..... Tonight , right after this dreg ?! ..... GOOD !!!! "

J. " Snuggles " Fly !

10th April 2007 05:40 PM
Saint Sway Entourage is a waste too

On Sunday, the "Season Premiere" was the episode where they try to find the kid a script, Ari fights for clients and then they throw a big ass party.

you know.... basically the same exact episode they run every week.

polytoxic I thought the latest Sopranos was sublime myself.
It is the Exile on Main St. of televison shows in my opinion.
It's murky, but with deep layers, and confounds expectations. Looking at that show and seeing just people talking is like listening to Exile and thinking it's just a bunch of failed pop songs with a bad mix.
But hey, that's just me.

I do have to say The Shield f'in rules as well. Best cop show ever.

Every word is true. Except Homicide was my fav cop show. The box scarred me.

So, is it safe to say Tony's 15 second blowjob Carmella gave him as a birthday gift would fall into the 5 minutes of actual plot/action category?

Gotta agree with ya, Sway! Just a touch "BORING"!!! But, I still love this damn show. Such an excellent example of great family life in the good old USA!!

Funny, I've had similar reactions, equally vehement, from people who diss my love of the Stones. And I mean all the time.
Like so many things, either one gets it or one doesn't.
People either "get" Exile or they don't. People either "get" The Sopranos or they don't. They both exist outside of the mainstream, and by that I mean the world of American Idol, Survivor, Everybody Loves Raymond and heck even Law & Order & CSI.
I'll stick by the comparison on that level.
Still idiotic?

About Homicide, I never really watched a lot of that but I do recall one episode which had a cop or something dying slowly after being crushed by a subway train. That still gives me nightmares.

The idea that that show gets any sort of buzz throws me. It's the same thing every week & I'm only watching it for the supposed Keef cameo.
