Markbot The Mick Taylor Years PAL DVD was apparently banned on Dime. There are still 120 leechers connected. I'm stuck at 66.4% for two days. If allowed could this be picked up on this tracker?

Thanks for any help or advice.

Gazza I dont see any info regarding that DVD on dime.

Why was it banned? Can you provide the link?

We'd need to know the details before we can confirm it can be uploaded here

Gazza,
I dont have the link anymore, but i remember that
it was banned because two reasons.

1. MSG 69 stuff like "little queenie" & "carol" seems to be in a Gimme shelter release.

2. Hyde park stuff, same reason.
"mercy mercy"
"stray cat blues"
"no expectations"

Gazza Assuming those Gimme Shelter/Stones in The Park tracks are just lifted from the official DVD 'extras', we cant allow the torrent to be uploaded here in it's current form.

It would need to be re-authored with those tracks removed. Sorry.
4th March 2008 08:44 PM
wellwell This is what happened with the ban over at Dime

TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME!

portions are from europe and part from the usa which means somewhere along the way this had a lossy reencoding.ntsc to pal and pal to ntsc are lossy conversions.

then:

DIME BAN LIFTED!

Sorry folks, the ban was in error. The files were ripped from a silver bootleg, so the PAL version is all the uploader can provide as the NTSC portion was reencoded by the bootleggers already.
Please resume everybody and sorry for the interruption.

and then:

TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME!

sorry folks, the hyde park and madison sq garden tracks are now officially released.this can be redone without those portions.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolli..p/customer-reviews/B000GUK3SI

This DVD releases come with lots of extras. The most interesting and relevant are 3 bonus tracks not originally featured in the film - Mercy Mercy, Stray Cat Blues and No Expectations. Unfortunately the latter two aren't complete.

Those isolated tracks are just official tracks with a speaker off, I mean, really... are we splitting hairs? If people enjoy, cool... but since it relevant to this ban topic, I figure I should throw in my two cents.

I was told by a good guy Volume 5 is a Led Zeppelin material, no stones related.

So anybody has got Volume 2 Standing In The Shadow?
We have to complete this serie sooner or later...
Many thanks!

Ade thanks- fingers crossed they're back soon
13th March 2008 01:46 PM
Erik_Snow I've reason to believe they've been shut down
I'm just hoping I'm wrong; OR that Hungercity will find a new place to live.
In cases like this; I can't blame Gazza for not allowing that 1969 DVD on the Rocks Off tracker... and I can understand Dime's policy with official material.
Those money-grabbing record-labels can't stand to see us having fun; without paying for it.
13th March 2008 02:34 PM
Erik_Snow It could be that I've been hearing false rumours...
According to a thread at Hungercityforum; this is nothing but technical problems - and I SURELY hope that is the case.
It's a terrific tracker
