Topic: NEW Ryan Adams (NSC) Return to archive
April 7th, 2005 12:31 PM
Saint Sway just listened to a new Ryan Adams tune called "Let It Ride"

I give it the Sway stamp of approval

it sounds like a return to his alt country roots from his great "Heartbreaker" album.

Ryan's a flake. And I've been dissapointed with some of his recent stuff. But I really liked this new song. Its got a laid back breezy feel.

anyone heard anything from his upcoming album? The record is recorded with The Cardinals.

winter Haven't heard anything else, but I have liked (actually really loved) just about anything he has done. Including his former stuff with Whiskey Town.

The new disk is supposed to be a double album, and he has 2 more scheduled for release this year. If nothing else, the guy is prolific.

He's also got a mini tour kicking off at the end of the month - I think mostly New England / East Coast.

I dig Heartbreaker, but would encourage you to give Gold, Demolition, parts of Rock-n-Roll and Love is Hell more listens.

For what it's worth, I've read Keith is a big fan of his.

Cheers,

and vice versa

Ryan is one of the biggest Stones fans around. Especially Keith.

earlier this year someone posted an mp3 of Ryan singing a song about "getting Stoned to the Rolling Stones"

hilarious song. I loved it.
