Hey you all, could someone please torrent the stripped companion cd??...i have black limousine in mp3 format and that song kick serious ass!!....wish to have the entire thing

Please DONT. Several of the songs on this CD are official releases and as a result cant be torrented on this tracker. "Stripped Companion" isnt strictly speaking a bootleg. Its part-bootleg and part-pirate recording. You're welcome to torrent the non-official tracks, but the b-sides and "Honest I Do" are out.

Gazza I'd be grateful if someone can help seed some of the currently inactive torrents (due to bandwidth and ports problems I've been unable to download much for the last few weeks until now so have a bit of a backlog!)

Currently looking for help with Pontiac 30.11.81 and Montreal 2006, if anyone has them

I'm on 60% for Pontiac and theres 4 of us there. I'll keep it open for the others when I've downloaded it.

For anyone...

I've just started torrenting. Is/does running multi torrents at the same time a)common practice and, b)jeopardize success rates?

Running more than one does not "jeopardize success rate"
But it does slow things down. The critical part about bit torrent is your maximum up load rate. If you drop the upload rate to a little below your maximum, the show will download faster. When the upload rate is maxed out, it slows the info packets that ask for more download packets.
The point is it will take you longer to upload the show back to a positive ratio. So the tip is when you are done, set the upload back to your max.
When you run more than one at a time, it takes longer for both parts to complete. That's all you will still get them though.
Thanks Mike

I'm starting to get into a comfort zone now, but I appreciate your offer of support! It just may be utilized.

pdog Anyone who has Dl'd Argentina DVD, and knows how to make it just audio, I beg and plead for your sympathy... Please if you can, do it and post the audio torrent.
I can't do DVD on my PC, and I'm really into listening to the stuff anyways...
You have my gratitude...

some restraint hey pdog, you can watch dvd iso's and what not with vlc player - in case you dont have a dvd burner. i dont know though maybe there's another reason why you cant do dvds on your comp. and i imagine having a few gigs sitting on the hard drive might not be plausible...

I got the gigs, I guess I could watch the stuff on my PC, but it's not really what I want. I prefer to listen to the music, if I'm going to watch, I would want it on the TV with my speakers ect... I don't really spend much time listening to music on the PC, so watching it... Hopefully the audio for Buenos Aires will show up soon...
My next PC will have a DVD burner, but that's not until later this year when I make that purchase. By then hopefully I can get lucky and catch up on those torrents, but interest fades fast with us folks.

coolzstuff Hi! I'm new here. I noticed that Chicago 11/23 $ 24/81 soundboards are up on the torrent tracker. Does a soundboard exist of the 11/25/81 show? Is it not on the tracker because two songs from that show ended up on Still Life? I would love to have a soundboard of this show (I have the fair aud recording) because I was at that show, and it was my first Stones concert. If a soundboard exists and someone would like to upload it, or if that's not permitted, arrange a trade, I would REALLY appreciate it.

e-mail me at [email protected]

Gazza Hi, and welcome

I think someone made a list a while back on one of the BT threads of all the '81 soundboards that are currently available.

Does anyone have it?

gimmekeef Pdog and others...I have the Argentina dvds now and find the video incredible but the audio inferior to Rio dvd.I was told by Jumpin Jack this may be due to Argentina dvd having mp3 audio?I'm trying to figure out how to rip the audio from the Rio with Nero6 and if I can then I'll try to make it available. There is quite a difference in quality of sound with imo Rio much superior....(If you could mix the Argentina video with Rio audio....you'd be close to perfection!)

There's a nice freeware utility called BeSweet which will rip audio from DVD. If you don't like command line interfaces then several GUIs for BeSweet are available such as BeSure and BeLight

kishorcsog I know that everybody's watching the rio dvd but I've just burnt the January 20 MSG dvd and it jumps from Rain Fell Down right to the end of This Place is empty. Nero 6 says that the re-allocation of the files was unsuccessful and it gives some other error message but it burns the dvd anyway and it plays all except for this part.
It seems that it does not play the second .vob file. I can watch individually the .vob files on the PC.
Thank you for the dvd, it was a fantastic show, I am just curious anybody else has experienced this too.

Lazy Bones With the recent additions of the Largo 'boards' to the tracker, is it safe to say that torrents will now be listed by 'most-recent' additions rather than alphabetically?
2nd March 2006 12:36 PM
Lazy Bones BTW, thanks to all the individuals who personally helped me and answered my questions. You know who you are!

Collectively, all your comments and suggestions have truly helped me get on-board. It's been greatly appreciated!

crb69 Yes, I too had the same problem with MSG 1-20-06 show; reallocation of files failed. Also, the Giants 1994 disc will not play at all; only on the pc. Some "fixed" versions would be highly appreciated...

MRD8 As far as I know the three Largo shows are the last 1981 soundboards, unless Empress Valley has some more.
