That was a great review. It captures a lot of the sentiments I felt after seeing the Elevation tour.
No doubt about it - U2 rules. |

yes. It means (The) Black Cat.
very nice version too from the opening show. Just listening to it now. This show took me about 3 hours to download, maximum as there were several hundred people seeding it at once. Unbelievably fast. |

I listened to Boy last night. What a great first effort. I Will Follow is great (the highlight from the Pop tour, imho.) and "the black cat" is one number i'm really looking forward to. |

I'm listening to the first night right now... I'm almost in hysterics i'm so impressed. these guys fucking rule. That Electric Co. was scorching, and damn if Vertigo isn't a brilliant pop song.

Gimme Shelter |
March 30, 2005 / San Diego, CA
Venue: iPayOne Center
Opening Act(s): Kings of Leon
Main Set: City of Blinding Lights, Vertigo, Cry - The Electric Co., Gloria, Beautiful Day, With or Without You, New Year's Day, Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, Love and Peace or Else, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet the Blue Sky - Hands That Built America, Running to Stand Still, Zoo Station, The Fly, Elevation
Encore(s): Pride, Where the Streets Have No Name, One, All Because Of You, Yahweh, 40
Comments: 'Gloria' is played for the first time since the end of the Lovetown Tour in 1990. Bono invites a fan on stage before 'Miracle Drug' and asks the fan for Spanish lessons. Before 'One', Bono talks about Eddie Vedder, who grew up in the San Diego area and first played music here. Vedder is in attendance at tonight's show. Bono coins a new name for this tour's version of the 'heart' when he asks 'How we doing in the bomb shelter?' before 'Yahweh.'

Well, the setlist is almost the same with 3-4 different songs. It looks better with With or Without You. |

They're tinkering with the opening song quite a bit ... and the setlists have been a bit varried... at least a little more than this board's namesake band.
GimmieShelter - you heading to San Jose?
