I just got my paper this morning. This story is loaded with innuendo & rumor. I think the NY Times is trying to drive down the GOP base vote but when people get a glimpse more of Barry & wife, McCain's alleged possible "people say" scandal will be worth less than teh paper that printed it. |

Something I hear over and over again is that Hillary has more experience than Barack, but it is one of those things that has been repeated so many times it becomes reality in people's minds. Here is the true picture in terms of legislative experience.
*
Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term (6yrs.), and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law, (20) twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years including the following:
1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.
7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress (www.thomas.loc.gov).
Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize.
During the first (8) eight months of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced
233 regarding healthcare reform,
125 on poverty and public assistance,
112 crime fighting bills,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 ve terans affairs and many others.
His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included the following:
**the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),
**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),
**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
**The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law),
**The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more.
In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record.

BJ you misunderstand me. I care not one whit if that flag was hanging in an official Obama office or not. That is not the point. The point is that Che is held up as a hero by many uneducated fools that either no nothing about his murders, or who somehow forgive them as an acceptable byproduct for the "glorious revolution". They are mind numbed leftarded robots that now see Obama has their great hope for another American revolution. In other words these are the kind of people that Obama is appealing to.
Obama believes in things that make me sick to my stomach. I don't need to read any web link to know that the man has strong socialist beliefs. He wants to control everything from my family's healthcare plan to my children's education. Hey Che kinda thought this way too! No thanks! That is polarly opposite of what the Founding Fathers believed the role of the government was.
As smart as Obama may be he is not anywhere near as smart as the guys that put this country together. Reagan, on the other hand? He got it! He knew that it was the government that serves at the behest of the people, not the people that serve at the behest of government. Democrats just want to have the government's hand in every aspect of our lives. Why? Simple. It gives them more power. Obama is no different in this regard.

People that are so goddamned ignorant that they either don't care about Che's muderous past, or they forgive it all as a price to pay for his glorious revoltion. Either way these people are idiots.
I don't need any web links to know what Obama is all about. He has strong socialist beliefs, just as so many other of today's liberal Democrats do. This man wants to have the government's hand in just about every aspect of our lives. He wants to control my family's healthcare plan and my children's education among many other things. No thanks Barack!
As smart as Obama may be he is nowhere near as smart as the Founding Fathers. He believes polarly opposite of the way they did. He believes in a big centralized government. They knew better. They knew that it was the government that works at the behest of the people. Not the people that work at the behest of the government.
So when Obama says that he's gonna get you through college, but then you're gonna owe the "us" (read-the state) something in return. I can only think of so many communal/socialist pipedreams that have always ended in tyranny. Socialism has NEVER worked. Ever! So why do so many leftists insist on revisiting this failed policy? Socilized healthcare has also NEVER worked! Ever! So why do Dems insist on trying to force feed this shit down our throats?
Until the Dem party cuts ties with avowed socialists I will never accept them as intellectually honest or anywhere near as intelligent as they pretend to be. I'm not fooled by Obama's slick talk. He continues to push socialism as a cure all. I ain't buying. And I never will.

Not quite the same BJ, and you know that. The population of Denmark and Finland combined is barely a third that of California alone. Socialism on a small scale may be doable, but not with a country as large and diverse as the USA. So while Wavy Gravy and The Hog Farm may seem like a novel idea, it would never work for the whole country. The Netherlands is closer in size to The Hog Farm than it is the entirety of the USA.

60 Minutes had a story about the Danes & "happiness" and even many Danes said they have such low expectations in life so when the bare minimums are met, they're happy. Americans, even the methheads living in trailers parks in flyover country, have great aspirations & are depressed & suicidal when they lose out. |

You need to distinguish between state and federal...you guys aren't paying any higher federal rates than the the rest of us...it's not as simple as saying we should spend the Iraq money domestically...it simply doesn't work that way....California can't even budget its school money from year to year...why?...because they have no idea how many more children of illegal immigrants they're going to have to educate...it's ridiculous...you should acknowledge and lobby to fix that issue first before asking to take more of other people's money in the way of federal income tax...I don't know what you guys talk about there, but if the consensus is that the Iraq war is why your schools are in a crunch you're beating the wrong dead horse...it's a matter of state taxes and state expense...get angry about that and I'll go ahead and say "I feel ya" |

I know the difference... We pay more, not a different rate. We're the worlds six largest economy, in a country that can't educate or provide healthcare, but can spend 6 bilion an hour to liberate a bunch of foreigners, oh, but the Mexicans are a problem... hahaha.... I can handle more mexicans, I can't afford to let Iraq bankrupt my country. And I understand my states budget problem. We send out tons of money to the Fed, and it goes to nothing. And then we deal with the problems you have in a state with a huge economy, bigger than almost every other country, minus 5! |
