Ten Thousand Motels Willie Nelson. Willie is playing Bangor soon, I just heard about it today. But Bangor is 3 hours away so I doubt I'll make it. Talk about off the beaten track...

Gazza >Willie is playing Bangor soon, I just heard about it today.

ah thats right, you live in Maine. There's both a Belfast AND a Bangor in Maine as well as here. Bangor is 12 miles from Belfast here..are they close by there too?

Belfast is probably about 120 miles from Bangor here. Belfast is on the coast. Bangor is basically an old logging and later a factory town about 50 miles up the Penobscot river from Bar Harbor/Ellsworth. Maine is "big" by New England Standards. I can get to Boston faster than Bangor.

Gimme Shelter I got to see Bob Dylan last year and the year before. Both shows were great.
03-28-04 12:53 AM
Dan maybe the Breeders.

would like to see The Pixies and The Cure at Coachella but I dont like festivals or gigs taking place hundreds of miles from the nearest public transportation. Ditto for Judas Priest at Ozzfest.

Maybe Bowie. Maybe Fantomas if I don't go see Bowie.

Free shows happen at Amoeba all the time, that place rules. I will probably go see whoever plays there next.

T&A Van the Man in SF next weekend and then Bowie in Berkeley two weekends after that. Next? Don't know yet - but will probably see Musselwhite in SF (he's got ex-Dylan hotshot Charlie Sexton in his band now) and then possibly EC if he hits the Bay Area.

And Bangor is also where Stephen King dwells, if I'm not mistaken. Another Stones fan, judging by all the little winks in his books!

polksalad69 Still have the Mekons tonight and Neko Case and the Sadies tomorrow.

Next weekend Willie Kent and the Gents are playing in the 'burbs.

Billy Joe Shaver, Dale Watson, the Paladins all have shows in the next few months. Also saw Bo Diddley has a club date in May (not sure on that one). Have a ticket for Graham Parker on April 30. Next thing you know, it will be time for the Chicago Bluesfest in June.
03-28-04 03:19 PM

Factory Girl In March 2004- I saw:

1. The Strokes (have fun Phog, they kick butt live)

2. Jet, Vines, Living end (Aussie Invasion). Jet is lots of fun & Who-esque energy (and I don't like the Who). Still, I like Jet!!

Coming Up-

1. nothing. Saw Bob in 2001, didn't score tix for 2004.
2. Hoping to see Iggy for the 6th time.
