A National Guard battalion commander is being relieved of his command for running naked outside the barracks at Fort Bragg.
Lt. Col. J.D. Webster was one of several soldiers seen streaking on Feb. 18, the military said.
Maj. Gen. Zannie O. Smith, acting commander of the 18th Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, has told Webster he intends to take away his job as commander of the 1st Battalion of the 130th Aviation Regiment, an Apache attack helicopter unit.
Final action will be taken after the officers have been offered a chance to give a rebuttal.
Smith also issued written reprimands to Webster and another officer, said Maj. Gary Tallman, a Fort Bragg spokesman.
An acting commander has been appointed for the battalion, Tallman said.
Webster declined to comment through a spokesman.
Military officials wouldn't release any details on Webster. His National Guard unit battalion is based at Morrisville, at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and is now training at Fort Hood, Texas.

As you know , Howard Carter was Geraldo Riveria's ( ABC Television's ) producer and he orchestrated that special on the opening of " Al Capone's Tomb " back in 1989 .
When the " Grand Opening " of the tomb contained only a single item ( a pristine copy of the Stones' " Dirty Work " album -- played only once ) , Howard Carter developed a serious case of the shingles in both ears and to this day can only hear faint " whisps " of sounds . Yet , stangely enough , He is able to hear any track played off of the abysmal DW quite distinctly and in surround sound ................go figure !
