Spru Street Fighting Man, Monkey Man, If You Can't Rock Me, Rip This Joint, When The Whip Comes Down, Like A Rolling Stone, and CYHMK haven't been played at all this tour. I know they were all in the rotation for the Licks tour, but can't they be played on this tour too? CYHMK was arguably the highlight of Licks. Also, where have the blues songs been? Aside from Back of My Hand, which hasn't been played much since the first month, there are no covers of Little Red Rooster, Mannish Boy, I Just Wanna Make Love To You, Rock Me Baby. The one-blues-cover-per-show staple of the Licks tour worked very well IMO.

Break The Spell Winter
Jigsaw Puzzle
Hand Of Fate
Laugh, I Nearly Died
All Down The Line

I'd really love to hear that one too, but who knows at this point if they'll pull out any more surprises in the set list.

All down the line was played this year in Boston.

Egbert I'm gonna be mighty disappointed if they don't dust off Sing This All Together (See What Happens) soon.

voodoopug The shows in Europe had significantly lower ticket prices and thus the band will most likely stick with what they are currently playing. They would have added more to the big ticket shows (see Far Away Eyes among others added throughought N.A. tour)
31st March 2006 05:48 PM
MRD8 I'll tell you I'd rather have had lower ticket prices in the U.S. then to pay $400 to hear the same old same old on this tour! After they brought out so many rare gems on the Licks tour I was primed for more of the same this time...sadly it hasn't(and likely won't) happen!

Soldatti Too many to count, they played 53 songs so far and their catalog of songs is 350-400.
31st March 2006 06:54 PM
Spru How many different songs were played on the Licks tour? It has to be sizeably more than this tour.

glencar 85 or so.

aussiestonesfan Beast of Burden i thought would get a run this tour. It was played a lot on licks and i think it's a great song.

corgi37 Not playing SOL, whether you like it or not, is a very strange decision as far as i am concerned. I thought they were keen to lock in the soapie watching MILF demographic.

They'll probably save Neo Con for France and Italy.

They played it at the Detroit show I attended last year and it was great
1st April 2006 04:32 PM
Spru I agree. Not playing SOL was odd. I mean, not even playing it once or twice? What's up with that? I think we can all agree that while SOL (average) and RFD (which I like) aren't the best choices to be released as singles, the fact that RJ and ONNYA are concert staples is the best anyone could ask for. We know (and the Stones know) those two are the true "singles" from this album.

PS - I agree that Beast of Burden needs to be played more often.

glencar Yes SOL should have been played several times or else not released as a single.
1st April 2006 06:20 PM
DiamondsDisease They really should play one of their most undisclosed gems: If You Really Want To Be My Friend!!!

I agree! I fuckin love this song

BTW, just an Off topic question, why was Drift Away left out of Its Only Rock n ROll album?
2nd April 2006 06:58 PM
Spru I'm not really sure why Drift Away was left off, as their version is a very good one. My guess would be that they left it off since it was a cover, and Ain't Too Proud To Beg was on the Only Rock n Roll album, which is a much better cover IMO. Around that time it seems they usually had one cover per album, thus not leaving any room for Drift Away. They coulda put it on "Rarities", though. Woulda been a nice touch.
2nd April 2006 10:30 PM
Soldatti I can't imagine the band playing SOL now or in Europe, it doesn't make sense.
3rd April 2006 03:45 AM
Angiegirl Well, they can play SOL in Europe if they like, just not at any of the (Amsterdam) shows I'm gonna be attending...

78 songs.
This tour is at 53 so far.
3rd April 2006 06:39 AM
Break The Spell I'd still like to see them try "Gomper" at least once.
3rd April 2006 03:23 PM
Spru Maybe I'm just too optimistic, but I think they'll debut a few more later this year, I'm guessing maybe not til Europe and the U.K. tour. I remember reading on here a week or two ago that Biggest Mistake will be the next single, so I'm guessing we'll see that at some point, along w/ one or twomore from ABB (SSMC, LMDS). Gomper would be sweet, we'll have to keep our fingers crossed.
