pdog The hardest thing about being a Whitesnake fan, is having to tell your parents you're gay!

Break The Spell Don't care for Whitesnake, but Deep Purple I enjoy. "In Rock" and "Fireball" have some great stuff, I liked Roger Glover's remixes.

nanatod I grew up on "Machinehead." It's not just "Smoke," but "Highway Star," "Space Truckin'" and everything else on it. Classic rock station been playing "Hush" a lot lately.

"Slow and Easy" is a pretty good Wsnake song. It's got a purple feel to it.

Classic rock stations spend too much time on Zep, not enough on Purple, Rainbow, Wsnake, Cooper.

My favorite Machine Head tracks were always "Lazy" and "Pictures Of Home", love Paice's drum intro on that one. True, most classic rock stations spend too much time on not only Zeppelin, but also the Beatles, Elton John, U2 and James Taylor (at least here).

nanatod How could I have forgot about "Lazy" and its intro? Shame on me. "Eruption" be damned, Eddie VH never had an intro like "Lazy."

John Lord is amazing. He's now retired from the band and does his own classical music. Age wise, he was the Bill Wyman of Deep Purple.

Dan I am a really picky trader though, pretty much some DVDs or stuff on the want list. The most recent tour Whitesnake opens with "Burn" with a bit of "Stormbringer"

Unfortunately it sputtered to a halt before hitting the west coast and the Irvine show was cancelled. I have Rainbow's "Bent Out Of Shape" on tape somewhere I am going to have to upgrade. I love that album.

My favorite on that album is "Fire Dance". Get the remastered version of that album, it sounds great.
