No argument here... I love Exile, but The Some Girls tour was their best...
That is The Stones to me, what a great clip...

nankerphelge Man, that is just IT!

30th March 2007 11:18 AM

same here - i think i prefer the 72 tour because of the times and climate...
but the some girls era is the stones' second defining moment after exile.
so much more to me than say, beggars or let it bleed..

gimmekeef Let It Bleed contains many of the songs that have defined their live shows however....

Is this the version that ended up on Sucking In The 70's? It sounds heavier...
30th March 2007 01:34 PM
Maxlugar Incredible.

Further proof that Bill Wyman is sorely missed. Christ does he make that song live!

This is not the version on Sucking/Handsome Girls BTW.
30th March 2007 01:36 PM
Throwaway I think the SITS version is the same as Ft Worth but edited to about a minute shorter.
30th March 2007 01:44 PM
Mr Jimmy the beginning is the same but if it is the same track they would have overdubbed new "live" lead guitar parts... totally different lead on the sits version than this. and yeah... they edited out "and mr brown he don't want me back home" reference to jerry ala linda ronstadt.

Not the same Vocals either.

lotsajizz the Woodie solo on SITS sounds like an overdub

I don't think so. It's longer on Handsome Girls.
30th March 2007 02:45 PM
patioaintdry Pretty sure the edited version of Whip on SITS came from the Detroit show -- or, Handsome Girls, Disc 3. This version -- Ft. Worth -- is from Handsome Girls, Disc 1.
30th March 2007 02:52 PM
jb 78 was a great tour and a great look....but make no mistake, Taylor era was much better musically...
