I did not want to start an argument, I posted a statement. And the statement is that I think anyone posting such a remark about Brian is a mental nutcase.
And drugs did destroy Brian from 1966 on. Slowly, but it destroyed him. Whether he drowned by himself or was pushed under by anyone doesn't matter: Brian was dead already before that, he was wasted. The drugs, money and fame just simply destroyed him.

I'm a very big Brian Fan!!! But unfortunately I must agree with you. So sad Brian wasted himself- look at the early pictures, where he was so beautiful and handsome and then look at the last pictures of him with a puffed up face and deep shadows under his eyes.
This always makes me very very sad, because he was so gifted and such a special person...
Nobody really wanted to understand him, there was so much pain in his life.
But it's great to be here in this thread, together with other Brian Fans, sharing our memories of the "most precious Stone" who was the heart and soul of the Stones |

Brian was an alcoholic/addict I agree. But when he was at his home at Cotchford Farm he was making an effort to reduce the amount of liquor and prescription
drugs he was taking. He knew he had a problem. I have the same disease.
Alcoholism and drug addiction. Brian did not have the luxury of rehab and
therapy that is in place today. He was more or less left to his own devices to
deal with it himself which most addicts find very difficult to do.
I am specifically referring to the cause of his death, which was drowning
and I believe Frank Thorogood was the person who did it.
Yes in the pictures from when he first started out to the late sixties he did not
look well. He partied all night, led a fast and wild life. And of course it showed.
It would on anyone who would do that. I think we all are acutely aware of that.
Despite that I am still a die hard Brian Jones fan, and have always been one.
And I too enjoy sharing my feelings for Brian and looking at all the pictures
posted on this thread. After all that is what this thread is about. |

Drug didnt kill brian..they put his life in a slump..but when he was at the farm he stoped using drugs. And wanted to be more happy. |

HI! I love all these wonderful pictures!! Every one of them!!! Now I would love
to know where Brians Girl got the one where he is talking to that guy and he
has the cigarette in his right hand, the black turtleneck sweater on (UK people
call them vests) and the HOT sexy look on his face? I also love the one in color
with the brown sweater and coordinating sport coat with that gorgeous smile
on his gorgeous, handsome, sexy face. I would have loved to have snuck up
on him quietly from behind and kissed the back of his hair with my at that time
young pretty redheaded self and see what he would have done.

Aren't these pictures fabulous? The piccies of him and
Anita make me seasick, but I have not seen that one before,
and anyway, hope you are doing okay.
The whole time Brian & Anita and other women, were going
together I was in senior high school, the last three years,
1965, 1966, and out in 1967. I am glad I was too. Would not
change it ever.
