Thank You Olivia for the beautiful Michael Ochs pictures of Brian, I have NOT
seen those before. They are sensational.
Thanks to Brians Girl and others for their posts in the Brian's Children thread.
I drank and used drugs for over 30 years. I did things I am not proud of.
So I know what it is like to do things when "under the influence" and then
be a different person when clean and sober. I went through some of the things
BJ went did. We can't change what they did or what we did as alcoholics/drug
abusers. But what we can do is to appreciate them as people and understand
that this is part of the disease. So I have always accepted Brian for who he is
and what he has done. And it seems the Stones fans here have done the same
for the other band members.
I don't understand all this Brian bashing that comes up sometimes. What is
the purpose of it anyway? I am not a bully by nature and as far as this bashing
goes, the only purpose it seems to serve is to start a fight. |

You know, I love those hearts, and those avatars, and all those things that
move and stuff on here. Problem is I can never find them for Macs. I think
stuff like that is so pretty and cool. I know I would mess it up if I tried to do
that on here.

I was looking at the header of Nicky Hopkins. I realized he was really sick and
looked him up. He suffered from Crohn's Disease. It is a very difficult disease
to treat. He died in 1994 in Tennessee at a Hospital there. The disease is really
life threatening and there is no cure. I was amazed how hard it is to treat and
offer relief for its symptoms. Surgery does not often help. He died after another
surgery. Hope someday they can improve treatment. He seemed like a hard
working musician and a dedicated man. Such a tragedy.

It is not the best picture of him. I have noticed and correct me please if I am
mistaken, but sometimes when a photographer takes a picture of a person
and the light is directly over the subject and the photographer is lower than
the subject the picture can turn out badly. Maybe if the photographer had
been on eye level with Brian and got him to HOLD STILL it could have been
an improvement. It reminds me of when you take a flashlight, turn it on, and
hold it under your chin, it makes your features look weird. Just my opinion. |

You know, Nicky Hopkins is one of my top five favourite musicians ever. I love this guy, and he will be in my heart forever.
But we have to get the fact straight here. Nicky didn't die of Crohn disease. Crohn disease is terrible, but it won't kill you. Nicky died after being being a heroin addict sine 1971. He struggled for 20 years year, but he lost the battle.
Don't try to make history any better then it is. Drugs kill.
