FOURCHETTE This question is to Soldatti or anyone else who can answer this question :

What are the most important Stones tours and how much did the Stones earn in those tours. I want the figures.

I know the Licks Tour was the most lucrative of all, but could you remind me the exact sum, please ?

Thank you very much.

Soldatti The Grossing U.S.A. Concert Tours of All-Time:
(single-year statistics, up to Dec. 2004)

1. The Rolling Stones (1994, 60 shows) $121,200,000.
2. Bruce Springsteen (2003, 47 shows) $115,900,000.
3. U2 (2001, 80 shows) $109,700,000.
4. Pink Floyd (1994, 59 shows) $103,500,000.
5. Paul McCartney (2002, 53 shows) $103,300,000.
6. The Rolling Stones (1989, 60 shows) $98,000,000
7. The Rolling Stones (1997, 33 shows) $89,300,000.
8. The Rolling Stones (2002, 34 shows) $87,900,000.

We can say goodbye to the #1, U2 will be there this year with an expected US gross of $130.000.000 or more.
The problem is the Stones doing US tour on two legs (97-98, 2002-03), they did over $120 million in US during that tours but not in a single year like the Voodoo Lounge tour.

But then, hopefully, The Stones will butt-fuck U2 on their upcoming tour.

Where do you find this great stuff Soldatti???

gimmekeef Just play the guitars loud and they will come!...They are easily the greatest touring band of all time no matter how you slice up the numbers!

I'm sure that Voodoo Lounge is #1, Bridges To Babylon #2 and Licks Tour #3.
I guess that Macca 2002-03 tour is #4 with $200 m, Bruce' 2003 tour is #5 with $182 m and Pink Floyd's Divison Bells #6 with $175 m.
U2's Popmart and the Steel Wheels tour are on the Top 10 too.

No if they tour 2005-06, they need to tour on a single year to be #1 again.
