I've seen all of Scorsese's movies and I think Gimme Shelter appears only in two: GoodFellas and Casino.
There are some Stones songs in Mean Streets. |

Its definitely in Goodfellas and (I think) Casino
I'm not sure if it's in four, however. Jumpin 'Jack Flash is in Mean Streets, Monkey Man and Memo from turner is in Goodfellas too and there are a couple in Casino |

Yeah, and Jagger love him too.
Mick said that The Aviator was an excellent movie every time that reporters asked him.
Is a good movie, yes, but... "excellent"? Hum... |

That's right! CASINO also has Sweet Virginia, Long Long Time, Heart of Stone (and you can hear the Stones' version of Satisfaction early in the film at the end of the bar scene where Joe Pesci stabs a guy in the throat with a pen).

how could I forget about sweet virgina
Casino was definitely his most Stonesy flick
I remember buying the soundtrack right after the movie came out, I didn't look at the track list until I got out of the store and was pissed when I realized that none of the Stones songs were on it |

Called "The Long Play" & it's still in development. All good things take time. Even some crap takes time. |

No it doesn't. What it does contain is a very fat tuxedoed Robert De Niro making out with a teen girl.
Here's a (so-so) interesting link: "the best uses of pop music in a Martin Scorsese film".
http://www.rockcritics.com/popped/scorsese/35mmjukebox.html
And the "highlights" (SC):
5. "Jumpin' Jack Flash," the Rolling Stones, in Mean Streets - Johnny Boy's slow-motion entrance into Tony's bar, Heather Weintraub on one arm and Sarah Klein on the other, what God sends through the door instead of the forgiveness Charlie asks for. This is the shot that best captures what Pauline Kael meant when she described Mean Streets as "hallucinatory," "operatic," and "dizzyingly sensual."
12. "Tell Me," the Rolling Stones, in Mean Streets - Charlie's crowd-pleasing antics with Diane, the stripper whose overpowering allure gives him one more thing to hide from. "Be My Baby," "Tell Me," and "Jumpin' Jack Flash" ring out one after another within the first 10 minutes of Mean Streets--it takes a while to clear your head and get your bearings again.
