Great pictures!! One thing, for those who looked at the thread about the
book "Sway" it is a fiction book about people who were in the Sixties. I just
checked Amazon and it is NOT about the real Rolling Stones at any time.
Check it out. Not interested here.
You would be if you read it. There are things people know about the past that time doesn't tell us. |
|
GhostofBrianJones |
I know that is it not about the Rolling Stones. It is a work
of fiction about people who are supposed to be from the
Sixties. I know about the Sixties, I was a teenager from
1962 until 1969. Graduated from HS in 1967. It was the
best time of my life even though I was so much younger
than most of the musicians from the UK. I read every mag I
could get my hands on anything about them I read. The 60's
was filled with strife, war and a society that desparately
needed to get its head out of its butt. If it was not for
the early Stones, The Beatles and others we might still be
back in the 16th century. |

I stand by what I said, having been there, too. Read before you judge, please. |
|
GhostofBrianJones |
Well I am not going to read it. If someone else wants to
fine. They can judge for themselves. |

Well, being American - No. Wasn't into them big time until "Get Yer Ya-ya's Out." My first Stones album, though I had singles...with *picture sleeves* (all lost now!)

You are an old man with petty morals. I am an old man with attempted morals. I know the diff between quick strokes of semi-fictional genius and insight, and long rehashed tomes of nothing-new like Old Gods, Almost Dead.
Let Gazza the Champion decide! Come forth, mighty Gazza, and read, else thou be eyeless... Read Sway, and tell us who beeth the Philistine here.

I hate to break this to you Andrew, but I am a lady, and
my morals are my own thank you. |

I am a forty something Brit with no morals.Or particular recognition of genius.I say let people read what they want to read.Nuff said. |
