GhostofBrianJones Is the monastary garden in Green Park? That is really
beautiful!! I wonder if Green Park has changed much since
the Stones were walking through there during that photo
session?

Sioux Those are wonderful pix, Alex! Thanks so much, my dear...

zooeyglass Alex, your great pictures reminded me -- I was in London at the time of the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002 and watched the palace rock concert on screens set up in Green Park. A wonderfully loooong day of sitting around waiting and drinking and getting to know our British neighbors. After the concert, people were climbing over or around the wrought iron fence [it's a little hazy to me now; Steve, you might be pleased to know I drank my weight in Stella Artois that day!] because the entrances were so jammed and the little pointed top of one post came off in my hand. I still have it somewhere

Looking back now, I think you're right about it seeming unchanged; London's parks do seem timeless.

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday to you all

BriansBabe Good evening dears

No, Linda, the monastery garden is in Germany, only half an hour to drive from my home...I was for continuing education there, itīs usual for teachers here, that professional training events held in monasteries...I know, it must sound for you a bit funny ...lol

Well, now back to Green Park:

And, Lisa, I would have loved, to watching you after (or during, lol) "drinking your weight in Stella Artois" on that day in Green Park = LOL

Found an Oil Painting of Green Park by Claude Monet, itīs beautiful, no?:

...our Brian would have loved the painting maybe too???

Love to all of ya dears, Alex

GhostofBrianJones I love Monet's pictures. He lived in Florida for a long time.
He would paint his garden, the flowers and I guess certain
areas around where he lived. I think he was quite elderly
when he passed. Would have loved to have met him. I wonder
what painters living today are really popular? I would like
to know who is really popular, and has extraordinary talent
and is living today.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I would like to try my
hand at that picture capture stuff.

LOVE TO S&K!!

BriansBabe Good question, Linda dear,
I canīt think of a real famous painter, whoīs living today...hmmmm?
Maybe itīs the destiny of them, first being death and then get fame???

Apart teacher, I would have also liked, to be a restorer of old paintings, for example, in churches...
but with that job itīs hard to earn enough money for life...well, so I decided to make painting to my hobby ...
I love to do always creative things..my brain is full of this...and - BRIAN, lol

Our sweetest and dearest painter BRIAN:

...not that bad our Brian darling!!!

Till tomorrow, peace and comfort to everyone...yours, Alex

Thanks Alex,

I'm soooooooo nervous! I'm goin for tutoring on Friday with a friend who's really god at math (She took CALC!).

I want to pass! I want to pass!

It doesn't matter that I can take the test as often as I need to pass both parts!

I WANT TO PASS!

I'm even thinking of taking an ascot of my grandfathers for good luck.

He was dead set on my going to college.

We're going to visit his grave & show him the certificate when I pass. (Whenever that is!)

I hope it's soon.

But the kicker is:

The results dont come out for a month!

So I have all that time to sweat it out!

Pray for me girls! Please! (YOU TOO MAMA BEAR!)

Sioux Poor thing... I hated math! I did all right with some of my math, but "story" problems, and later geometry, had me bamboozled. I did fine with Algebra and Trig, for some reason. Never took calculus. I will be praying that you pass on Saturday and be done with it! Then you can proudly display that certificate to anyone you meet.

Waiting a month---that is torture!!

The BEST of luck to you, keithrichardsgirl...

Olivia1962 keithrichardsgirl, i had to take a test very similar to that last year. Math and English. The results did not come for a long time.

LoveChild Mick looks like he has a stick up his ass in that last photo.

Salvador Dali is one of my favorite almost living (barely dead) artists. Well, at least he was alive in my lifetime. He is a surrealist. Brian would have liked him ;-)

GhostofBrianJones I WILL PRAY FOR YOU LADY BREE!! MAMA BEAR ALWAYS COMES THROUGH
FOR YOU!! LET ME (US) KNOW HOW IT WENT!!

That color picture is so beautiful!! Notice Brian still has that bandage on the
hand he is passing the cigarette to Keith with! He was fighting with Anita
and started to swing at her and she ducked and he hit the window sill!!
They were both under the influence of stuff obviously. I am glad there was
no permanent damage.
13th March 2008 06:45 AM
Sioux And I love Brian's pants... I want a pair like that!

13th March 2008 06:46 AM
Sioux I love Salvador Dali too. I'm sure Brian appreciated his work...

GhostofBrianJones Some of those drawings of Brian are really great and some are not too good.
I like the sketches of him. You have to get the shape of his head, and mouth
just right. It is difficult to catch the essence of Brian.

I wonder if was difficult to actually catch Brian??? As in sneaking up on him
and putting your arms around his waist and declaring "Gotcha Babe"!

Lisa was/is always a sight to see during AND after those kind of things

But I will admit the reason I ended up with a piece of the Green Park fence was a desperate need to go to the bathroom!

At the nearest pub, the line for the ladies' room was a mile long --
There was no line for the men's room so in true Rolling Stone fashion...

No police were called though, lol --
no one even seemed to mind

PS: Alex, how are you these days, liebe?
