THE ROYAL DAN
Tone Center 4047 :: May 9 Release date

Steely Dan

More than a tribute, this all-star lineup reimagines 10 Steely Dan classics as jazz-rock fusion instrumental jams.

Produced by Jeff Richman, who organized previous fusion all-star salutes to John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and The Mahavishnu Orchestra for Tone Center, the set streets on May 9.

Without a doubt, Richman morphed these cats into a fantastic band.

The core group consists of Ernie Watts, saxophones; Jeff Richman, guitars; Peter Wolf, keyboards; Jimmy Haslip, bass; and Vinnie Colaiuta, drums.

Special guest guitarists include:

# Robben Ford on "Peg"
# Steve Morse on "Bodhisattva"
# Jay Graydon on "Home at Last"
# Al DiMeola on "Aja"
# Steve Lukather on "Pretzel Logic"
# Mike Stern on "Dirty Work"
# Jimmy Herring on "The Fez"
# Frank Gambale on "FM"
# Elliot Randall on "Hey Nineteen"
(Richman is the featured soloist on "Josie")
