Fashion flock

THE refined and elegant Plaza Athenee hotel in Paris was invaded by a rowdy rap, rock and model crowd Thursday night. New York club promoters Danny A. and Alon Jibli took over the hotel's Les Bar for a fashion bash in honor of the Paris collections. While Gisele Bundchen puffed away in the back room, wrinkly Rolling Stones Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts mingled with model Devon Aoki, rapper Damon Dash, photographer Patrick Demarchelier and model mogul Paolo Zampolli. Jagger took a particular interest in a stunning Asian journalist named Mimi to whom Demarchelier kindly introduced him.

Jagger front row at Lagerfeld

If there are pretty girls in town then its fairly certain that Mick Jagger wont be far behind. Such was the case at Karl Lagerfelds autumn/winter 2002 fashion show in Paris. Maybe were being a bit cynical in suggesting that Jagger, known for his penchant for models (Jerry Hall, Carla Bruni, Vanessa Neumann, Luciana Morad and Sophie Dahl to name a few), was only there for the women. He is, after all, a great friend of Lagerfeld who, in addition to being a design legend, took the photos for the cover of Micks latest album.

Whatever the reason, Jagger had a front-row seat and was perfectly poised to admire both Lagerfelds clothes and the women wearing them. Backstage, as the champagne flowed, he gave his views on the collection: I thought it was very cool, very sophisticated, very elegant. When asked whether he himself wore Lagerfeld, Mick replied, I often do, then, looking down at the navy cashmere jacket and black combat trousers he was wearing, added, Oops, not today though.

March 13, 2002 -- Jagger on Paris babe-patrol

LEGENDARY lotharios Mick Jagger and Lenny Kravitz are on the prowl in Paris, drooling over the multitude of models in town for Fashion Week.

Jagger set tongues wagging Friday night when he strutted into Le Bar at the Plaza Athenee hotel with a fetching brunette on his arm, even as one of his current squeezes, an exotic-looking 24-year-old actress named Mimi, seethed at him from a table across the room.

(Jagger's jilted galpal is not to be confused with another Mimi, an Asian journalist we reported Jagger flirting with on Thursday night).

PAGE SIX last spotted the wrinkled but still randy Rolling Stone at Paris's newest strip club, Pink Platinum, where we watched him slow-dance with a scantily clad temptress in the wee hours of Monday morning.
