Sioux I read this on AOL. I'm still shocked. I didn't realize he had lung cancer.....

I remember him saying that he would only release his memoirs after his death. And yeah, I wonder about Mal's suitcase too.....he would really have stories to tell, being one of the few truly inner circle guys...
24th March 2008 07:42 PM
Sioux First it was Norman {"John called me 'Normal'"} "Hurricane" Smith....and now Neil {"Nell"} Aspinall.

Normal and Nell....no more...

Prodigal Son Sooo, who's still around? George Martin, Ringo and Macca?

Let's see, who's dead?:
Brian Epstein, now Neil Aspinall, Mal Evans, Stuart Sutcliffe, Billy Preston, Linda McCartney, Maureen Cox, and the list goes on. All of these deaths are also at fairly young ages. It's the Beatle curse I tells ya!

Sioux Yep, those all died young..of course, John and George too...and a couple of older ones---Alf Bicknell, former driver and Derek Taylor {who wasn't that old} who also died of lung cancer...back in the late 90's, that was...

Yep - thats about it.

I was going to suggest Derek Taylor (Apple PR), but he died almost a decade ago. I didn't even know!

Gazza Norman 'Hurricane' Smith, the engineer on all the early Beatles records died only last week at the ludicrously tender age of 85.
