Cool Guadalajara, they got a second encore and front page news!!! Here in DF the articles were all in the "Shows" sections, and only one encore.

A friend who attended told me that it was a great show with an enthusiastic audience a completely sold out

Bob is wearing a different hat. The lighter colored one needed cleaned, it had a spot on the brim.

Cool. Thanks Gary. I figured as such. I do not know how to get any of this stuff from the Internet. I don't even know what to call what I'm trying to communicate about not knowing how to do it. I do not even know how to send an email attachment. When the computer won't work and that little color wheel starts spinning endlessly I do not know how to turn this damn thing off! I am completely ignorant regarding the computer. Sad and true. You all are light years ahead of me.

I know, but I don't understand what I am looking at /reading once I go to these links, so it is pointless. I tell you I do not understand a word of this computer madness. I am in the dark ages.

9 songs out of 17 from this current decade, five of them played back to back with the other eight from the 60's and nothing between 1968 and 2000!

You cant exactly accuse him of being too trapped in his past, can you?

paddy bob has drawn from a remarkably small group of songs since the tour that followed the release of Modern Times.

there are rare exceptions (for example, bob recently played "Can't Wait" and "Mississippi"), but you can count those exceptions on one hand.

if you go back to any year on the NET prior to 2006, you'll see far greater variation in the setlists, a far larger repertoire of songs from which bob was drawing, and a good smattering of surprises and one-offs. it's sad, really, because bob invariably seemed to enjoy pulling out those less frequently played songs.
in the last several years, bob has become the opposite of what he once was.
it has taken away the element of the possibility of being surprised that for many years had been an important, fun and exciting part of going to a dylan show.

The Latest Setlist

Last night, March 5th, Bob played at Via Funchal, San Paulo, Brazil, a 6000 capacity venue. He was on guitar for the first three songs.

1. Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat
2. It Ain't Me, Babe
3. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
4. Masters Of War
5. The Levee's Gonna Break
6. Spirit On The Water
7. Things Have Changed
8. When The Deal Goes Down
9. High Water (For Charlie Patton)
10. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again
11. Workingman's Blues #2
12. Highway 61 Revisited
13. Nettie Moore
14. Summer Days
15. Like A Rolling Stone

(encore)
16. Thunder On The Mountain
17. All Along The Watchtower

Another Mexican Date

Thats a fair point, actually. Up to 2005 or so, we were getting used to seeing back to back shows with maybe no more than about 3 songs duplicated, plus lots of long lost songs getting an airing. That rarely happens anymore. Apart from the 2 songs that Jack White sang on in Nashville last year which had never been played before, its been a while since I read a setlist that made me think "Christ - I cant believe he played THAT".

Its still a better variety than pretty much everyone else though, I guess it depends what you're used to.
