Gazza Thanks for the reviews and pics, everyone. Glad you had fun. What's with those cans that guy is looking at? Some kind of "Smell Like Bob" spray?

Is there a snappier dresser in rock music at the minute? he even makes Prince look sloppy. Hard to believe this is the same guy who was wearing ski masks on stage a few years ago. That hat is a classic - up there with the Rolling Thunder era one!

Paddy - Bob hasnt played Mexico in what, 17 years? You've seen him about 120 times. This show is as far from the 'same-old, same-old' scene as its possible to get for that audience, I would imagine. We're spoiled. Mexico isn't.

Bumped into renowned Dylan photographer John Hume yesterday. Still doesnt appear to be any prospect of UK Dylan shows this summer, but in addition to the multiple Spanish dates he's supposed to be playing, it seems there are rumours of shows in Croatia, Italy and maybe one or two other places in that part of Europe.

Yes, I did

I see that for those hard-core fans reading setlists the second was better, but the band was great both nights and I enjoyed more the first show. Some of my all time favs, my favs from Modern Times and a fucking great version of "Masters Of War" that hypnotized the whole audience and was listened in complete silence during the whole song!

Ten Thousand Motels Bob Dylan’s curious tour of Mexico City

By Jeremy Schwartz |

Most famous entertainers play it safe when the visit Mexico City - they’ll leave their hotels to hit up a fancy Mexican fusion restaurant or do some shopping at trendy designer boutiques, but rarely do they get a sense of the real megalopolis. Not so rock icon Bob Dylan, who, while he was in town this week for two shows, did some sightseeing on Mexico City’s notoriously crowded subway system and worked out in a gym in a gritty nook of the historic downtown.

Dylan was spotted on Tuesday wandering through the Bellas Artes Metro stop, checking out some of the Lucha Libre photography on display on the station’s walls. Apparently, he created just a minor stir, with just a few people recognizing him and taking pictures with their cell phones.

Then Dylan did a little boxing at the Nuevo Jordan gym, impressing trainer Rodolfo “Guerco” Rodriguez, who had no idea the man in the ring was perhaps the most famous singer on the planet. “I said…these old guys are going to give each other heart attacks!” Rodriguez told the El Universal newspaper. “They told me that the oldest guy was Bob Dylan, this guy you’re telling me about…He boxed with all his friends and he did well; you can tell he’s practiced for awhile because he landed some good shots and brought his own professional (equipment). He knows what pugilism is and he enjoys it.”

any news on the rumoured Galway show, Gary?

Gazza What rumoured Galway show? First I've heard of it!

I've been no access to e-mail all week as my home PC is being repaired and have had limited internet access at work, so this is new to me.

a friend of mine, mentioned it recently, via email, too.

Gazza Thanks, Adrian

Seems a bit of an odd choice as geographically its absolutely nowhere near any of the other countries that are rumoured.

Intriguing that he's rumoured to be in northern Italy the same week that I'll be in Milan to see Bruce....

Erik_Snow Nice thread and reviews and photos, please keep them coming...
If there's any truth in Adrians link, this summer will be a real treat...
