Gazza The date given strikes me as a bit unlikely. Bob's in Europe from May 26th to July 12th, according to the schedule we have at present. An already lengthy trek by his standards.

There are no rumoured dates after that until this one on July 28th.

A two month long European tour? Seems a bit implausible, although I'd love to be proved wrong.

No joke

To avoid the fans and the press he took a ride in a bicycle dressed as a respectable old lady

open-g Carlitos gave a little interpretation about that woman disguise on iorr - lol.

"The New thing to avoid fans, I get dress of a woman.
Dylan continues with his South American Tour, and continues talking about his excentricities, he just dressed as a woman to see the city of Montevideo in Uruguay. He also go by bicycle and dressed as a Woman, as the manager of the hotel Conrad said, he could had of a great tour with the cycle, great weather and avoid all the fans ."

24th March 2008 07:06 PM
BluesMafia21 Bob Dylan has the most keen and at times wicked sense of humor of any cultural icon of the last half century, rock no roll or not.

As for his latest forever tour - I caught a few shows over the last year and a half. Very solid band and Bob appears to be having more fun, and even showing a bit of appreciation, to the audience. The Dylan cannon is remarkable, and at times, his delivery, with all its vocal imperfections, is simply stunning.

I not only adore Dylan - I respect him.

Very few artists I am willing to say that about...

No big deal, but as you can see from my previous post above, there's some wrong information there:

First of all even that Dylan reserved 40 rooms at the Conrad Hotel he stayed at the Awa Hotel, it was a last minute decision, and this was the Hotel where he came out to drive a bicycle dressed as an old Lady.

Second The Hotels are in Punte del Este, not in Montevideo, they are 140 km (87 miles) apart
