28 The best facet of fame?
MJ: Free drinks. Sometimes.
29 The worst?
MJ: A drink too many. Sometimes.
44 What would yoo tell to Bill Clinton?
MJ: Why didn't you go to a hotel?
Bless you, Mick! |

Absolutely! It's the cover of Mick Jagger, 50 ans, an authorized biography published in 1993 by two French journalists, Franois Jouffa and Jean-Claude Gambert. Thanks for public libraries!
BTW, here's another from same book.

Baby Steelie :
Friday night, I'm on my way home
They oughta make work a crime
I'm home for the weekend
I'm gonna make the most of my time
There's a rock and roll singer on the television
Giving up his music, gonna take up religion
Deserted rock and roll
To try to save his soul
Saturday night, gotta gig with the band
Playing the electric guitar
Someday I'm gonna make it
Gonna be a super-duper-star
Get a flashy car
And a house for my Ma
The big break better happen soon
'Cause I'm pushing forty-one
Just like Cinderella
When she couldn't go to the ball
A voice said, "I'm your fairy manager
You shall play the Carnegie Hall"
I gotta give up my day job
To become a heartthrob
I may go far if I drink with the Hammer
Away for the weekend
I've gotta play some one-night stands
Six for the tax man, and one for the band
Back in the studio to make our latest number one
Take two-hundred-and-seventy-six
You know, this used to be fun
Monday morning, I just got home
Six and the birds are singing
I need a drink and my clothes are wet
Ooh, and my ears are still ringing
There's a rock and roll singer boppin' on the TV
He used to be a preacher, but now he sings in a major key
Amended his decision to the new religion .
-- Thank You
Joey !

Hey girls, tele here
What do you say we have a sleepover at my place this weekend for the Rocks Off girls?
We can do each others nails, braid each others hair
We can even be naughty and open some wine and tell stories and stay up late and model the new line from Victorias Secret
Let me know if you are in |

Tele! That sounds like so much fun!
Sorry tho...I already have plans. You need to reschedule
I'd be there in a heartbeat! But no braids...nobody, and I mean nobody touches my fucking hair. |

Tele...what a kind offer.
A little notice would be good. Those last minute flights can be awfully expensive!!
One condition....YOU must model the VS fashions FIRST!!!
LJ.
BTW...It would help your cause if one of you RO casanovas would start a special Happy Valentine's Day thread!!! |

Throbby - I need to get that book! great pic!
is that what these "super blow" threads are? pics of the band..?
why the name super blow..? |
|
throbby |
He mac_daddy!
It was originally known as the Super Bowl thread. Boomy? I believe started the thread about last years shitty Super Bowl. SS jumped in after some whining posts and woke everyone up(me anyway)with something like "who gives a fuck about the Super Bowl, we've got the Rolling Stones". That's when the pictures started. I lost my steam posting photos after a week or two and the RO girls, SDH, and a few others did a fantastic job keeping it going (hell, we're at part 5 now). They renamed it the Super Blow when part 2 began.
I'm going to start an Exile thread, showing some photos from the book. I'm hoping it's ok with the unholy trinity.
Don't want to get anyone in trouble. |

Although that "100 Questions for Mick Jagger" was in broken English (heh heh!) it was quite funny. |
