After last year's nightmare of empty seats and vanished profits, a powerhouse lineup of newly confirmed tours -- including outings by Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer and Eminem -- brighten the concert industry's hopes for 2005.
"It can't be any worse than last year," says one cautiously optimistic promoter, MassConcerts' John Peters. It doesn't hurt that U2 have already sold out the first round of dates on their Vertigo Tour and that rock giants Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones are also planning massive outings. Here are some of the shows coming to a venue near you this spring and summer.
