Mel Belli Saint Sway, take it away:

Saint Sway Weilend is really hopelessly unable to sing. He sounds like a dying cow.

however, I prefer Velvet Revolver over Van Halen because everyone is old enough to drive and none of them wear day glow jump suits.

Honky Tonk Man I thought Contraband was an excellent album. I really liked their cover of Bodies. I think Slash is marvelous
20th March 2007 01:45 PM
GotToRollMe Weiland has some very odd stage moves.

Vaguely Mick-esque, but much more coke, speed, and/or caffeine.

I think he's very odd full stop. Lets not beat about the bush, I think the majority who enjoy Velvet Revolver do so because of Slash. I do anyway. I think Weiland is good, but he's not Axl Roses circa Apetite For Distruction.

20th March 2007 02:17 PM
Saint Sway to be fair... I feel I should post a version done by the "classic" Van Halen lineup...

20th March 2007 02:19 PM

Factory Girl I don't like Weiland, his creepy Freedy Mercury biker-butchy stage persona, or his voice.

I love Slash...he is one cool dudenick.
21st March 2007 07:25 PM
sammy davis jr. Slash is the master of "overplaying"- he never stops. Overrated in my book. Weiland butchered that song.
21st March 2007 08:01 PM
Funky Crow Butchered would be the EXACT word I would use to describe their version to that song.
That has to be one of the coolest tunes going and I COULD HAVE DONE MUCH BETTER and I SUCK! Sorry for yelling but man did that ever disappoint.

No denying that the core of VR (Matt, Duff, and Slash) are a very tight unit. Slash is great. As for Weiland, the voice can be so much better so I am not sure what he was trying to do by singing it that way.

I give it a 65 Dick because I could at least dance to the beat.

PS

There is no voice mute on You Tube.

30 seconds into it and "CLICK"!
It sucked.
The rest must suck much harder.

...I will take your word on it!

Mel Belli That's the Holy Grail and the Ark of the Covenant right there!

I never realized it before, but "Diamond" Dave is a gnome.
