I've always loved the artwork from Knebworth Festival August 21, 1976. I wish they continued this beautiful tradition of concert poster-art!

Would love to be at the Isle of Wight festival, but it's already sold out. Also, as Gazza poits out, accomodations for travel and lodging will be difficult so it's most likely going to be for the "locals".

Rolling Stones Confirmed for Isle of Wight Festival

The Rolling Stones are to make their first UK festival appearance in over 30 years by joining Muse and Snow Patrol in headlining the 2007 Isle of Wight Festival.


The Stones had been strongly rumoured to play the event when the first bands were revealed a couple of weeks ago and now Music Week have confirmed that the legends will headline the Sunday night (June 10).

Tickets for the 3-day event are all sold out and the line up is:

Friday June 10
Snow Patrol
Groove Armada
The Feeling
Echo and the Bunnymen

Saturday 9 June
Muse
Kasabian
Ash
Amy Winehouse

Sunday 10 June
Rolling Stones
Keane
The Fratellis
Paolo Nutini
James Morrison

I would be able to hear this from home if i wasn't going,its that near!
What with The Who just over the water in Southampton the week before,to say I'm a happy chappy at the moment is an understatement.
Oh and The Who next week at the Albert Hall on my birthday......
