Topic: Singles Collection London Years- mono versions of songs Return to archive
03-22-03 06:17 AM
morocco I've noticed in the Singles Collection London Years that many songs on the CD are mono although there are legitimate stereo versions. I realize this is because singles were released in mono.

But I don't think the mono versions sound as good as stereo and that is a little disappointing. Can anyone provide any advantages of the mono versions?

For example, does the mono version of Street Fighting Man provide something the stereo version on Beggar's Banquet does not?
