Yipee! Thanks, Glenny.
This will make my work more fun, but not more accurate.

I wish they still did daytime concerts but I guess when you're on an egg timer...

The speed was so much faster back then! I like today's shows too but this stuff was awesome. I'm DVDing this but now I hear ads in the background.

Have we heard "Black Limosine" since that tour?
I love that song.

Yes, I guess I'm leaving in 2 hours or so. I won't get the whole show but I'll see most of it.

Sir Stonesalot
The Stones are great in that, especially the PPV stuff from sweet VA.
But Hal Ashby's hamfisted directing and lack of regard for little things like continuity make this one of the worst Stones movies...as a movie. Like I said, The Stones kick ass and save the thing....but there are times(like "Time Is On Our side")that the direction and editing are so cringe worthy as to make it nearly unwatchable.
I DVRd a cool Stones doco off of BBC America. I forget what it was called. Not much in the way of new or unknown info about the good old days...and some of the talking heads get some of their facts wrong...but just seeing the old newsreel footage of the first Aussie tour was worth wasting an hour on it. They had some old Pathe newsreel footage too...footage that I've never seen before. It was a fluff piece, with the Stones outside walking along a rural motorway. Anyone remember seeing that? BBC America are pretty good about replaying stuff, so keep your eye out for it. I'm sure they'll be running it all month.
Oh man, the shit that the BBC must have laying around in the vaults.....
the mix is awful...too much Ernie Watts, not enough Keith and Ron, Mick's vocals are awful also...coked to the gills and with his most limited range as a result....too much time running around

I love how the saxophone is present during the whole show. The only things I don't like is Woody and Keef's guitar tones and how all the songs are the same tempo.
