LadyJane Bitch got me good. Mother N sent gusts of wind to blow the snow off my car and right into my face.

Somehow the sun does no good when the "real feel" is 5 degrees.

Some Guy And it sure been a cold, cold winter
And the wind ain't been blowin' from the south
It's sure been a cold, cold winter
And a lotta love is all burned out

It sure been a hard, hard winter
My feet been draggin' 'cross the ground
And I hope it's gonna be a long, hot summer
And a lotta love will be burnin' bright

And I wish I been out in California
When the lights on all the Christmas trees went out
But I been burnin' my bell, book and candle
And the restoration plays have all gone 'round

It sure been a cold, cold winter, lord
My feet been draggin' cross the ground
And the fields has all been brown and fallow
And the springtime take a long way around

Yeah, and I wish I been out in Stone Canyon
When the lights on all the Christmas trees went out
But I been burnin' my bell, book and candle
And the restoration plays have all gone round
All right, well, well, well

Sometimes I think about ya baby, oh well
Oh, sometimes I cry about ya, lord
Well, well, well, well, well

Yeah and I'll wrap my coat around you, woman
Yeah and I'll wrap my coat around you, woman
Oh lord I'm talkin'

Yes, I'll wrap my coat around
Well, well, well,
Baby sometimes I wanna, keep you woman
Baby sometimes I wanna wrap my coat around ya
Sometimes I wanna burn a candle for ya
Sometimes I wanna wrap my coat around ya lord
Sometimes I wanna burn a candle for ya
Yes I wanna keep ya, wa wa wa
Sometimes I wanna wrap my coat around ya lord I'm crying
Sometimes it feels like...

WTF glenny, doesn't it occur to you that when the summers are too hot and the winters are too cold something is amok?
9th March 2008 06:51 PM
glencar No because I've been told (by the UN!) that ski mountains in the Northeast US that are below 5000' will not be able to sustain themselves because of warm winters.
9th March 2008 07:00 PM

warm and sunny!! head a bit further west man and roll over martha reeves - we are in the middle of a predicted minimum 9 day stretch of over 35C heat and by hell i wish it would rain - this drought is reaching biblical proportions (see moses hallucinates thread)- lake albert has dried up - not quite a lake of fire more a lake of dust but its scary stuff man

They are certainly able to sustain themselves this winter. I was on one today. Five degrees and whipping wind. BTW, the UN is full of shit on many topics. Hardly the source of record on climate change.

robpop This late blast of winter is screwing my plans up. I hould be pulling trout of the river by now. Instead, I sit an watch college hoops all day.

Na...The lakes never froze. I'm more into streams/rivers fast water fishing.

Besides I would hate to fall through the ice into this:

pdog a cold or hot day doesn't make for climate change... now the years of drought in Oz, that is a bad sign. Same with the Southeastern US drought. Too many people, earth will find a way to thin the herd or just wipe it out, been done before!

60 degrees F. and partly sunny in Portland today. And four months from now, when you're sweltering in 90 degree, 90% humidity days, we'll be enjoying mid-80s and low humidity. Your problem isn't nature or climate; it's geography. You live in the wrong part of the country (as my ancestors
thankfully figured out in the 1870s).

guitarman53 A lot of people don't mention where their from, in Toronto here, we've had more snow since the 1930's, we're close to breaking the record, in plazas there's snow plowed about 20' tall, it's like a mountain, & it never stops, no global warming here.
