all day today, MTV News will air a short news bit on Austins SXSW Festival at 5 to the hour.
The news clip features all the big acts that played there this year as well as my friends band - Leroy Justice.
I mention this bc Leroy Justice is a very Stones inspired band. They've got a great Exile- Stones honkeytonk sound. So for those of you looking to find some new bands playing in the Stones style vein you can check these guys out for yourself
their new album is called "Revolution's Son"
ck it out... www.leroyjustice.com

Thanks for the tip Sway, I'm jamming to it as I type, so far its pretty good sounding stuff. MTV promoting something that don't suck?? Could be a sign of an oncoming apocalypse. |

its just a news clip on the festival. I dont think MTV is gonna start playing R&R videos anytime soon again.
heres a cool quote about Leroy Justice:
"...alt-country meets southern rock, plus lots of guitars, sound will remind you of a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Rolling Stones."

I downloaded a few of their songs last night, pretty good sounding stuff so far. Ya, I didn't figure MTV would actually start playing rock videos, but at least their giving it some attention. |

Ya, thanks for the links, I'm liking what I'm hearing so far in just a couple of songs. I'll have to check out the whole album when I get time, probably this weekend. |
