Child of the Moon Hey, has anyone here seen any of the most recent Bowie shows for the Reality tour? If so, what all did he play? I'm fidning great difficulty in tracking down setlists.

Anyway, I'm seeing him in Portland on the 13th next month. Anyone else?
03-16-04 03:09 AM
UGot2Rollme courtesy of Bowie's website, here's the setlist from his March 14th show in Hong Kong:

01 Rebel Rebel
02 Hang On To Yourself
03 New Killer Star
04 Fame
05 Cactus
06 All The Young Dudes
07 China Girl
08 Reality
09 5:15 The Angels Have Gone
10 The Man Who Sold The World
11 Hallo Spaceboy
12 Sunday
13 Heathen (The Rays)
14 Under Pressure
15 Slip Away
16 Looking For Water
17 Quicksand
18 The Loneliest Guy
19 Be My Wife
20 Sound And Vision
21 Breaking Glass
22 Fashion
23 Ashes To Ashes
24 White Light, White Heat
25 I'm Afraid of Americans
26 "Heroes"

(Encore)
27 Let's Dance
28 Five Years
29 Suffragette City
30 Ziggy Stardust

I saw him in Zurich early on in the tour. I'm not a huge Bowie fan, but he was fantastic. Under Pressure came off particularly well - his bass player flawlessly singing Freddie Mercury's vocal lines. See Him!

luxury1 I am going to see him at JOnes Beach in NY in early June. A friend of mine saw him in CA, and was blown away. Said he did a nice mix of the old and new.
03-16-04 09:38 AM
Gimme Shelter I saw him in San Jose last month and he was great, I've got tickets for both Berkeley shows in April.

full moon Bowie stands the test of time, unlike most and still kicks serious ass in concert. His live band jams......

Sir Stonesalot I get to see the make up show in Phily at the end of the month. After seeing some of those set lists...I'm pretty psyched. I haven't seen Dave since '95 when he toured with Nine Inch Nails. I'm REALLY looking forward to this...since this show was supposed to have taken place about 4 months ago.

In a way, I'm sure this has all worked out for the best. If the original show had come off as planned, I would have seen one of the very first shows...but now his band has had time to get real tight.

I'm ready.

Gazza I read that theres a live DVD of his Dublin shows from last November coming out very soon.

SS - I see theyve just announced a Dylan show at The Tower in Upper Darby, Pa. Presume youre goin.

Child of the Moon Thanks very much, everyone. I can't wait to see him now... especially now that I know "Quicksand" has been showing up a lot in the sets. That's one of my all-time faves.

mac_daddy CotM -

I have seen a number of sources from this tour circulating...

I can start to track them down for ya, if you like...

I am not that hot on Bowie anymore (although the live stuff I have from the 70s is excellent)...

there are some proshot DVD images circulating as well - I'll start looking, and will let you know what I turn up

here is a VCD I saw recently...

West 8 I'm hopeing to catch Bowie on 1 of the PA gigs he's doing. Maybe Hershey PA. He was excellent last time I saw him, about 2 years ago. I like that he's doing Fantastic Voyage from his Lodger album. Lodger was one of the 1st albums I ever bought. Nice little strange record.
03-16-04 11:46 PM
PolkSalad I'll skip Bowie, there are older and better out there.
03-17-04 07:00 AM
L&A I saw him in Antwerp and it was great as usual with Bowie !
03-17-04 08:10 AM
Factory Girl I saw Bowie two years ago because I won free tix. He was only so-so.
03-17-04 01:24 PM
Dan I saw all 4 Bowie LA shows, including 2nd night at the Shrine Auditorium where I scored a 2nd row ticket right off TM the night before the show. The shows were all good but I am not sure if I am going to see him again in April - I thought the shows on the Outside and Earthling tour were much better musically and setlist wise.
03-19-04 10:45 AM
GimmeExile Is there anything unique about his stage design? Does the center part of the stage extend at all? I'm trying to determine what tickets on the floor are ideal...
03-19-04 01:13 PM
Cardinal Fang I will probably be going to the Berkeley show on April 17th or 18th with Pdog and SheRat. (If she want's a ticket ? It's on me cause I've got a big wad of cash in my pocket burning a whole !) Never kept a dollar past sunset......

I've seen Bowie at least half a dozen times but I have NEVER seen him in a small 3500 seat venue. Should be great ! Can't believe that he actually played "Fantastic Voyage" ? As long as he plays Hang On To Yourself & Life On Mars, I will have a hard on.

Hope to see some of you there maybe ?

Later, Cardinal Fang
