Topic: Mick Taylor @ McCabe's Guitar Shop Return to archive
02-13-04 05:39 PM
mac_daddy McCabe's is a local guitar shop in Santa Monica, and they have been there forever. My first guitar came from there many years ago, and they will still set it up for me, free of charge, every couple of years. Fantastic place. Anyway, in the back, where they have alot of the instruments on display, they also have small concerts (I have seen Richie Havens there, among others). I just came across this - I am listening to it now. On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being best, I'd rate the sound an 8, but it is definitely a keeper...

I'll send a copy of this two-disc set to the first board member that signs up for the vine. You make your copies of the disc, and send the originals to the next person in line (you all know how a vine works ). If you are first in line, PM me with you mailing address. I could have this out tomorrow...

I am sure the "instrumentals" have names, and I have no idea who the musicians are (percussion, keyboards??) so if anybody has that info, I would appreciate it. It very well might be Mick singing...

I have a bunch more of his stuff that I would be happy to pass along if there is interest...
