Enrique Iglesias, Shaggy and Alicia Keys are all set to perform at Wednesday evening's World Music Awards in Monaco.
Iglesias and Shaggy are up against Michael Jackson and the UK's Robbie Williams for the best-selling male artist award.
While Alicia Keys, fresh from winning five Grammys, will be competing with Enya, Britney Spears and the UK's Dido for best-selling female artist.
Other British acts nominated include Sting and Mick Jagger.
Kylie Minogue is also due to sing but headliners Destiny's Child have pulled out of the event due to work commitments.
The World Music Awards are presented on behalf of Prince Albert of Monaco, the event's patron.
Broadcast
The ceremony will be hosted by reggae singer Shaggy and actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, and presenters will include Naomi Campbell, Sonique and the star of TV series ER, Eriq la Salle.
Dido: In the running for best-selling female artist
The show, which honours the best selling recording artists from around the world, is broadcast in more than 160 countries.
Awards categories include best-selling male artist, female artist, pop group and rock group.
Britney Spears and The Beatles were among the award winners in 2001 - as was Ricky Martin who won three awards, for best-selling dance, Latin and pop male act.
