nanky I have this CD -- first part is the Perth '73 show that i believe is the Happy B'day Nicky boot (since Mick sings it to him at the end) -- then there are a bunch of rehearsals for Dallas '72 including a great Ventilator Blues which I hope they play this year.

But the last song, which is not on the track listing, is this odd promotional type blues song about Exile on Mainstreet being such a strange street, and containing lyrics that include all the titles of the songs on Exile. Does anyone know about this song -- what was it used for?

Cardinal Ximinez Nank...I believe that's called "Exile On Main St. Blues". I have no idea what it was used for, most probably it was going to be used as backing music for radio ads.

JaggaRichards Exile On Main St. Blues was a promo flexi-disc that was inserted in copies of the NME in '72. It's been around for years.

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
