I thought the 1st line in Let It Loose was "Who's that woman on the phone?"

That's definitely what it sounds like. "Mentholated sandwich" in Jigsaw Puzzle does not sound like that at all. Sounds like "purpelated."

In Heart of Stone, I always heard "I ain't got no love/I hate that kind of meat.

Stonesdoug Here's 2 that got me the first time I heard them

When in flies a guy he's all dressed up just like you and he in drag

and after hearing Tumbling Dice the first time, I actually called the radio station and requested Tumbleweed Ice

LadyJane I can't name just one.
I'm always looking at Keno's lyrics pages.

I STILL say the line in Tumblin Dice is:

"Keith can be my partner in Crime"

LJ.

_Boomy_ And George grasped the nettle
It's do or dare
From the banks of the Delaware

Mr Jimmy i first heard beast of burden the day it was released in '78 and
i heard it on one of those crappy am transistor radios. of all my
friends, i was the best at deciphering mick's enunciation and
instead of "need no fussing" i heard "need no hussy" and that's
what we all sang even after i bought the album and played it at home
on a proper stereo. embarrassingly, it was only a little while ago that
i was corrected while singing loudly.

iluvmickjagger07 oh there's too many. mick can be hard to understand sometimes.
my dad made the funniest mistake. i asked him which stones song was his favorite so he bagan to sing it. instead of saying start me up, he said "Ste-fa-nie" and then he was completely making the rest of it up but he was pretty damn sure mick says stefanie.

glencar That makes no sense!

Fadeout_Freedom Whenever I'm singing along to Lennon's "(Just Like) Starting Over", I intentionally sing:

Don't let another Dago buy my love, it'll be just like starting over

My dad has slayed me twice... in the 70's we were in the car and "The Hustle" came on the radio, I swear to God he was singing "Do the hot dog"...

...then in the 80's when Van Halen's "Jump" came out, instead of singing "might as well JUMP!", the man sang "Maxwell JONES!"

LOL....Someone i once knew thought Mick was singing "Let's go home, enjoy the curtains.." hee hee!

guitarman53 In a '68 Rolling Stone (magazine) Mick Jagger interview, he said "I remember when I was very young, this is very serious, I read an article by Fats Domino which really influenced me, he said you should never sing the lyrics very clearly"
I can remember Get of off my cloud first time I heard, I can't remember exactly the lines in the song, this is back in the 60's, but it wasn't what I thought it was.
