More to be announced!
Roger Daltrey and Brian Wilson have already lent their expertise in the States, and now the US music phenomenon that transforms rock fans into rock stars opens its doors on British soil.
Immortalized through The Simpsons episode which featured Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp continues its Rolling Stones line-up as founding bassist Bill Wyman rocks his way through the camp this May in what will be an intimate Stones event.
Wyman promises to "bring my axe in the studio and jam on a Stones tune with every camper!"
The Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp is a once in a lifetime experience for fans to jam with Rock legends.
'Campers' are put through their paces as rock luminaries, veteran music industry pros and famed studio players transform them from budding amateur musicians to rock stars.
And where better to put rock legends than the most famous recording studio in the world, Abbey Road Studios in London!
From dawn to dusk campers eat, drink and play music with the stars as they enjoy one-on-one master classes and late night jam sessions.
Campers form bands with rock star "counselors," rehearse, collaborate and create music and finally hit the stage as genuine rock stars playing top-notch instruments. The rehearsals conclude with a Battle of the Bands at Abbey Road Studios. It's a journey that will change all of the campers' lives and an experience they will never forget.
One 29th May, campers will also have the opportunity to perform at the world famous birthplace of The Beatles, The Cavern Club in Liverpool, which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year!
Previous camp counselors and rock legends had this to say: "I feel quite passionate about anything that encourages people with different musical abilities! They all rise to the occasion, it's fantastic!" Roger Daltrey, The Who "The Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp was a real trip.
It was an honor to hear all of those different bands perform our music ... some of them very original versions.
I look forward to doing it again!"
Brian Wilson, The Beach Boys Upcoming Camp News
Paul Stanley, legendary KISS frontman returns as a guest performer at the New York City camp, being held over Labor Day, August 31 -- September 3. Stanley will perform at B.B. King's Blues Club in the grand finale Battle of the Bands, playing classic KISS hits with the campers.
Stanley comments, "To be a part of the camp isn't just a fantasy for the campers, it's my fantasy too ... a way for me to say thank you.
To get up and play with people who have that exuberance and energy is a gift to me as much as to anybody else". Joining Paul Stanley will be Ted Nugent, Scott Ian of Anthrax and legendary group Mountain.

Saint Sway |
my friend works for this and I'm told that they've also signed Ron Wood for this years European Camp.
I guess he's going to teach folks how to hop around with a banana and wave to the crowd like a mental patient. |

this nonsense is SO wrong on SO many levels (see RRHOF)
as Sway might put it - you'd have to be whacked out on horse glue to think there is any credibility much less any cachet in being involved in something like this - either as a "rock star" or deluded punter |
