If I were the Stones, I would say "F**& It, I can't get any richer and with the 15/20 years I have left I want to do stuff I love, i.e. write and play great music".
Honestly, I can't believe that Mick or Keith find any pleasure in playing with a guy like Chuck Leavell. That guy just plays by the numbers with no identifiable style. Thing is he knows all the catalogue and knows how to orchestrate it to please the casual fan who's going to plonk down $150 for a nose bleed, so hey let's put up with that.
They've lowered their artistic standards to incredibly low levels, and for what, for cash and for their ego "I'm an old fart and I can still fill a stadium and bang all the chicks I want" - great, just like Gene Simmons from Kiss! Way to go for guys who broke all the rules and made Exile!

But they chose Chuck...they apparently need him to be the musical leader of the band...Chuck more or less acknowleged this last tour. I think they do enjoy themselves, but they know the big money days are about over and have milked it dry since 89 on...this next tour , from what I've been told, is definitely the last one...
Also, Simmons hair piece is ridiculous...he needs to go with a more contemporary stlye..shorter and more natural looking...I don't know how this guy banged over 3k chicks...
