Ronnie & Jo:
P.S. Looks a LOT like the movie poster for "Stoned," no?

Now, wasn't there an outtake of that last photo with Ronnie turned backwards? Hmmm....... |

You have to love him for being able to mesh so well with the band. LJ and I were talking earlier about how Ronnie fits in so well with the other Stones.
Oh - and I hope the guys like that pic of Jo on Ronnie's shoulder. They seem like such a loving couple. |

God Bless Ron Wood! A multi-talented, multi-faceted artist and musician, and a perfect complement to Keith. I love the photo of Ron and Jo too...one of the coolest, friendliest rock & roll couples ever!

I ain't out to steal his thunder, but I had a voicemail on my phone last nite from TomL in Ft. Lauderdale.
Seems he went to an art show.
Seems he met the artist.
That's all I'm gonna say...ain't sayin' no more.
Except I think Mr. Wood has done a hell of a job resisting all the temptations and pressing on with two truly great tours since 2002!

Ronald's been a very busy man lately. Here he is just last night at Jack Gallery for his art debut at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida:

Gypsy, you know I'm always around in spirit, if I'm not posting. I try to pop in every now and then, but college does take up a bit of my time. Keep up the great work with the photo posts, Gypsy and LJ. |

It's undeniable that Woody did his best work with Rod and the rest of the Faces.
His best work nowadays is on canvas.
Just the facts. |

Love You Live, Some Girls, Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge, The Licks Tour and Bigger Bang tour all would disagree. |

Absolutely. I really don't understand why Woody gets so much shit. He has had some tough periods, but I can't imagine the band without him - he is the perfect fit (i.e., he is not an overweight slob with no stage presence, like the last guy who had the spot and QUIT!). And the past two tours, he has been playing very well, better than Keith on average. I would also add portions of the '81 tour to your list - See Hamptons VA, for example - Keithe AND Woody were on fire, particularly during Little T&A.
If there is one member of the core band who has not performed up to par over the past 10 years, I would have pick Keith.

Glad you can see that. I also feel he keeps Keith going mentally, their buds after all. If Ronnie wasn't there, I'm not sure Keith would be into it anymore. |

RONNIE WE LOVE YOU!
It must be a hard job joining a band so prestigious as the Rolling Stones are. I think he's carried it off and he's accepted now as a Rolling Stone and not someone who used to be in the Faces with Rod Stewart...
He's still the new boy but he's a Rolling Stone THRU AND THRU! |

Ronnie is a great musician, and I particularly like how he plays slide. He just doesn't get the respect he deserves - LJ says he is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Stones. That's so true. I think he does a great job dealing with Mick and Keith, which is something Brian and Mick Taylor never managed to do. |

Please see "Take a Look at the Guy" featuring Ronald Wood and Izzwald Stradlin' circa 1992 and then feel free to take the rest of the year off.
