Topic: So No Keith In Pirates Movie? Return to archive Page: 1 2
10th March 2006 02:14 PM
gimmekeef I'm sure by now the filming is done with release date approaching mid year.No word on Keith??.....Doesnt look like it happened....Guess $15 million for a "stagger-in" appearance was too much to pay!...
10th March 2006 02:20 PM
Break The Spell Well, Johnny Depp's pirate role in that movie is acting pretty much right on Keith, so if Keith were to play Captain Jack's dad in that movie, that means Keith would be playing his own dad. That could be confusing. I'm glad he's just concentrating on the Stones myself, Keith and disney should never mix.
10th March 2006 03:08 PM
Sir Stonesalot I guess you guys haven't seen the trailer yet.

Keith is in it, glowering over Johnny's shoulder.

He looked fantastic standing there with Depp.

When did he film it?? Was it before the tour??
10th March 2006 03:21 PM
Poison Dart He is not in the 2nd film. But may appear in a cameo in part 3.
10th March 2006 03:58 PM
VoodooChileInWOnderl They got stoned and he missed it

Pix with thanks to lovely Gypsy!

Next movie is planned for 2007
10th March 2006 06:20 PM
BlackKat Keith Richards... Johnny Depp's hero. Doesn't Depp wear a ring just like Keith's? What's with that...
11th March 2006 03:22 PM
caro I'm not completely certain, but this is him, isn't it?

The whole thing is too good to be true, I'm sure the movie will be a letdown!
11th March 2006 03:33 PM
MrPleasant Greatest performance by Depp, and, perhaps, by anybody in this decade. Sean Penn can stuck the Oscar in his mouth. (Please.)

it has to be him
11th March 2006 03:38 PM
MrPleasant That's Geoffrey Rush, methinks.

11th March 2006 03:48 PM
caro You're probably right about Geoffrey Rush, the lights&expression are so fucked up that I really can't tell. Anyway, I agree : Johnny Depp was brilliant in that movie -- it's a pity that actors almost never get awards for comical roles.
11th March 2006 03:59 PM
MrPleasant That's right. Jim Caviezel should have won for Passion of The Christ.

didn't his character die in the 1st one>?
11th March 2006 04:30 PM
MrPleasant He was already dead. Then, he died. It's Disney, after all, so don't expect reality.

11th March 2006 06:20 PM
glencar Keith probably won't even bother with the 3rd one. Didn't they film #2 & #3 at the same time? I suppose they could add a cameo by Keith but that wouldn't be too interesting.

BTW Totally agree about comedians not winning Oscars & other awards. Bill Murray should have been nominated several times, Steve Martin at least twice & a few others.

caro, thanks for posting that. You are much loved at the ROCC.

It looks like him...but when I lightened it up, the tip of the nose is really bulbous - more like Rush's nose.
But then again it's difficult to tell. I really really hope that it's Keith though!

Hi Gypsy! As usual, I'm in love with the new photos you just posted in the Superblow thread!
BTW, I forgot to mention that the image I posted is a screen capture from the trailer. In case anyone's interested, you can watch it in not-too-bad size (but in french) here :
http://www.allocine.fr/video/haute_definition.html
(Just click on the film title. When the pop-up window opens, you might have to click on "cette video en haute définition" to get a bigger image)

It's not Keith. It's Stellan Skarsgård, from Dogville and Good Will Hunting.

Thanks for the info - I really wanted to find out who that actor was b/c I knew the nose wasn't Keith's, and the mouth and chin didn't come out as far as Keith's do. I do hope Keith does make a cameo in one of the two sequels.

Sir Stonesalot That must be who I saw in the trailer.

That quick shot that they used...man, I really thought it was Keith.

Looking at the still, obviously it isn't.

Since we're both upset over this latest development, why don't we meet at Motel 6 and have sex in about 30 minutes?
