Dan Uh oh, so totally sold out I take it. And I will keep that bloody head in mind in case they ever play the Hollywood Bowl again (which was actually a piece of cake sneaking into).

Sadly, the cops must use extreme caution before bloodying heads in the US. With the job market not at its best, officers cannot risk unpaid suspension or dismissal for fear of dificulty finding alternative work.

Yes Dan, the show organization was the worst that I've seen in my life and besides, a lot of people wanted to enter the show without tickets. People started to fight with cops, and there was what happened.

Still relatively low demand for first shows in 8 years compared to U2.....onjly a handful of gate crashers and not enough for 3rd show...

If the demand was there, a third show woulsd have been added. U2 has dominated the South American/Mexico markets, so only 2 shows....and this is what happens.

Horseshit

The demand WAS there. The Stones could have filled that place for a week, easily

However, they make more money from an arena show in the US than they do from a stadium show in South America (not to mention the expense of transporting the equipment down there)

They skipped South America last time because the economy was too weak and they wouldnt have made enough money out of it. For all their crowing about how much they love playing South America, to play only 3 shows there when theyre playing over 60 in North America speaks volumes for what REALLY matters most of all.

jb What's with the guy spraying his blood all over? That's very unsanitary and potentially harmful!!! Couldn't he have been given a T-shirt to wipe off?

What's the matter with you? Do you know what SOLD OUT means?
Why do you compare U2 with the best Rock and Roll band in the world?

Yes. That guy is the local promoter. Michael Cohl had an argument with him and insisted the ticket prices werent high enough

3rd show is impossible. Mexico is waiting and Mick can't sing two days without rest his voice. Doctors said that in the past tour.

The cohls looking out for his investment once again! I suspect that Young Jake Cohl would have handled this more diplomatically, but what must be done, must be done. We shall win again (see gross tour revenue 2005!)

Dan If the Ramones were still alive, I bet they could have done a 3rd show.

I suspect you are correct, especially if they had not toured in a while...there would be quite a buzz, and we would be humiliated yet again, but not as bad as I do have a lot of respect for The Ramones.

many ticketless folks trying to force their way in as well as ticket folks who had not been able to get into the stadium for the start of the show. The newspaper photos show bloody fans.

what the fuck has that got to with anything? I'm explaining to Josh (because he and you - ad nauseam - pretend not to grasp the reason) why Argentina ONLY got 2 shows compared to about 60 in America

and your point is what, exactly?

(PS - anyway, the Stones arent in the "99%" category who 'have' to work because they need the money.... )
