Any idea about other countries or the release date for the DVD? |

I don't know about release dates for other countries. It has already been shown in the United Kingdom. The release date for the movie on DVD in the U.K. is April 6th. You can preorder the movie on DVD if you go to www.amazon.co.uk

Be careful when purchasing DVDs abroad, they might not work on your DVD player. I learned this the hard way. I bought a DVD in London, and it doesn't work on my DVD player. I can only watch it on my computer or on my brother's DVD player, because his is newer and plays multiregion DVDs. |

Gorda a friend of mine has ordered DVD's from the UK & then copies them onto his computer & makes new DVD's that will play in the American system. It's somewhat complicated but at least you'll be able to play it anywhere. |

I will be out of NY when this movie opens but I shall endeavor to see it at some point at that theater. Even if it sucks I'd like to see it on the big screen. |

This is the first I am hearing about this film...glad it will be playing here in DC...question though...is it a Bio-pic or is it a documentary? If it is a bio-pic...who plays Brian? |

You guys are right, when you purcase a DVD from another country they have regional codings on them. The regional coding in America is 1. If it doesn't have this number on the back of the DVD box, than it cannot play on American DVD players. You would probably have to tranfer it, which will probably be costly. You would be better off waiting for the DVD release here in America, which probably won't be very long from now.
About the movie. It's a biopic. A British actor named Leo Gregory plays Brian Jones. If you go to the movie's web site www.stonedthemovie you can see still photos of the movie and a 2:47 trailer. When you go on the site click the American flag and hit trailer. It's actually a pretty nice web site.

the correct link is above...
Thank you for the movie info...but as far as DVD encoding...region 0 (zero) also plays in NA...as a matter of fact...will play in 99% of dvd players in the world...most chinese dvds are region 0 for this reason.
