Lord Homosex I do wonder where Ron Wood got all those supercool duds back then. Every shot that I see him in from the Faces days he is wearing something totally different. Not even Keith from the Stones changed boots every gig.

stonedinaustralia saw this band last night and they blew me away - The Bellrays - from LA - wow - soul for the 21st century - the singer was fantastic - sounded like tina turner circa '69 -musically tho they stretched from straight stax/atlantic soul stylings through to an MC5/Radio Birdman type hard rock with a large dose of Sun Ra thrown in just to freak the whole thing out

it may be that bands like that and singers like her are a dime a dozen in the US but to see someone like her in this outpost of progress was a revelation and probably the most inspiring performance i have seen since the Stones in '03

Sir Stonesalot The BellRays last album made my Top 20 for 2006.

But honestly, their earlier albums are better, IMO. More raw and punk. They are far more polished now. I've seen 'em twice live. Hot the first time I saw 'em...not so hot the second time. The singer was horse, and they were having some serious sound problems. But when they are firing on all cylinders...they are a powerhouse.

jaymze THE KILLERS are probably my fave band around at the moment.

GOLDFRAPP are an excellent electro pop band, great live too.

FRANZ FERDINAND are very good.

JAMIROQUI are consistent in their output, good funky music.

SCISSOR SISTERS are making great music. They seem like they will go the distance.

They are my fave bands who are relatively current and who are bringing out new music

Honky Tonk Man It is amazing how some of these bands get so big, so quickly. It seems like only yesterday that The Killers, Scissor Sisters etc were playing theatres, bow they are filling big arenas. The Arcit Monkeys are playing Cricket grounds now and having support bands such as Supergrass, It all moves so quickly.

FotiniD I like the Coral, Lucky Jim and if "Please, Please, Please" is any indication, the Shout Out Louds seem to be good.

My lasted craze is Lapush though:
