StickyFishFingers Hey Daeth i've been wondering about this too. How long would it take for the band to fly from Shanghai to Sydney? I think if they were going to do a secret show somewhere in Australia, it would be on the 10th depending on when and what time they arrive from China. Yesterday I checked the gig guides for a couple of venues in Sydney around the 10th,12th etc. The Enmore is booked on the 12th but the Metro is free on the 10th. A mate of mine who's originally from Sydney also reckons the Basement would be a great venue for a small gig. He also mentioned a place called Manzas near Kings Cross, but he's not sure if its still there.

Daethgod yer i dunno
i thought Mick had doctor orders not to do 2 shows in a row
Myer Music Bowl is a huge outdoor arena in Melbourne
A club show would rock !

corgi37 Hong Kong to Oz is 9 hours. China? Maybe add another 2 hours tops.

A free show would be very nice. At the bowl would be cool. There is a 40 year record to be broken. The Seekers played to over 200,000 there back in the mid-60's. Come on Stoneys, lets break it!

P.S. Shows you how boring we were back then, eh?

StickyFishFingers Yeah but AC/DC played there in the 70's as well didn't they? That balances it out i reckon

Daethgod what happens straight after NZ ?

maybe they will come back and do it as 'farwell'
this HAS to be the bands last trek out this way dont ya think..?
i think i heard somewhere that Mick alluded that future 'tours' would be US and Europe only ...

corgi37 Who knows Daeth? If the price is right...

Around 1981 i saw Jon English & Marcia Hines there. They were part of some big show with lots of z grade "stars". The finale was "Gimme Shelter"!

I cant see a free show happening either. They've done their free gig for the decade.
