corgi37 That makes no freaking sense. People could only buy tix BEFORE the time stated IF THE TICKETS WERE AVAILABLE! Fucking idiots.

And, just how many Stones members are we talking about? 50? 100?

Daeth - Thats ace news. Hope it applies to both sets of tix!

A beer before? Er, maybe 1-2. Dont wanna get too full up and need 4 pisses during the gig. I'll probably take a small bottle of brandy as well. For medicinal purposes. I'm staying near Chinatown. Aaron's Hotel. Dunno if thats near any cool pub. I thought after wards i might go to Hard Rock or the casino. Is there a bar near the stadium?

Either way, i will be in for a glug for sure. But, i am a night owl, so i will hang on to my alcoholic ambitions to after the show. Mainly so i can get good pics, not get dry mouth, not have to miss fave songs for a toilet break (or another beer - i scolled a schooner size beer during "The Worst" in 95.
6th March 2006 06:20 AM
exile no, no pubs near stadium
6th March 2006 07:45 AM
StickyFishFingers I came to the conclusion that the reason why post may members were able to buy tix before 11am was because there probably aren't in reality too many people in Australia with pre-may memberships still & the fan club just figured it would open up the pre-sale at the earlier timeslot to all the members. rs.com &/or ETix fucked up. Maybe the late notice in announcing this leg of the tour didn't help - nahh stuff making excuses for them.

Loki This whole thing has me worried so much, I don't sleep. I bought these tickets through the fan club. They're for my mum who has been a Stones fan for nearly 40 years. I work in the music buis and my entire profession comes from the fact as a kid, my mother played the music of The Stones.

I emailed the stones website to confirm my membership, which they did.

Then i purchased my tickets to get a confirmation email saying I have successfully purchased my tickets. Then another email (after already emailing support about the lack of a code and being told it was fine) that i was not a fanclub member.

Just to freakin' secure the tickets, i purchased ANOTHER fan club membership to make sure they're secure. I've heard nothing back.

I sent them several emails and have even made several phone calls.

Today I get the email

"We are aware of your fan club status and we trust this issue will be resolved shortly"

I call them this morning at to be told "Well if its billed your credit card, it SHOULD be ok" SHOULD BE ?!?!

Tickets to the general public go onsale tommorow and if i don't have these tickets, then I want new ones. I can't believe it would take almmost a week to sort out this kind of problem.

I'm so fucking stressed about this. I paid 200 AUD (4 tickets) IN A CONVIENIANCE FEE to have the most inconvieniant expirience of my life.

I got great tickets too... Row K SA5. I was so excited to tell mum where the seats were.

I've been a tour promoter in Australia for several years and I've been working on tours for the past 7 years. Never have I seen such shenannigans.

in a way i am not surprised at all this

to confirm and organize, even a two show blitzkrieg effort like this one, inside two months of showtime by an operation as big as the stones you'd be surprised if there wasn't a stuff up somewhere...perhaps not surprising that when it does occur the punter gets the sharp end of the deal
6th March 2006 06:11 PM
Daethgod im hearing you dude

the ONLY emails i have recieved are CONFIRMATION of my tix, these emails are dated 9.10 am and 11.04 am on day of presale (Thurs March 2)

StickyFishFingers I just got an email from ETrix to advise the problem has been resolved & I can have my tickets. Thank F@#k for that it's only taken about 5 days and about a 1000 of my hair follicles.
6th March 2006 06:21 PM
Daethgod dudes on rs.com have just recieved emails from etix confirming their tickets

well daeth that's when you can expect to get them whatever date that is - i expect there will be a huge mail out two days before due date

relax man, take a breather on the whole thing and rest because if you don't receive them by that date then you will really have to fire up your righteous indignation, sense of outrage and sheer determination to see the show
6th March 2006 06:27 PM

Daethgod fark
i wonder if i was the only one who wasnt asked to send in 'proof of membership'

i have emailed etix to confirm my 'confirmation email' from last week

6th March 2006 06:52 PM
Loki I have followed all their instructions to secure my tickets.

I was lead astray by The Rolling Stones website and the fact this is being done through a company in America is ridiculous.

When did you guys recieve your emails ? Have you only just checked your accounts now?

I checked mine at 4.30 AM (yes, this is how worried i am about this) and got the email telling me "we trust this will be resolved shortly".

Great Googly Moogly...
6th March 2006 07:32 PM
StickyFishFingers Loki, i only got my email from ETrix confirming my tix about an hour ago. In fact when i first checked my email intray there was nothing so i was really pissed off and typed a draft message to send to them. No sooner had i stored the message, i got my confirmation of tix message. Am feeling huge relief but will not be completely happy until i've got those tix in my hot little hands.

I also sent an email last week before the pre-sale to RS.com asking them a Q. about the pre-sale, I got the obligatory "we'll get back to you soon with an answer to your query" - still waiting........

Anyone thinking of trying to get better tix thru the general sale tomorrow? I got block 105 at $155 plus Con fee for Sydney. I'm thinking there's no harm in having a look to see if i can secure even better seats - this time at the $95 price.
6th March 2006 07:46 PM
Loki I just spoke to Dainty Management.

They've been getting dozens of calls and supposedly etix have been getting 1000s upon 1000s of emails.

They basically can't help at all as they have given the tickets for the fan club to etix and it is completely out of their control. They have even contacted etix about what to do, and got the same "please advise to email us their Rs fan club membership number and confirmation code" bs.

I'd say the latest "new presale tickets" on Rs.com are from people who have not joined the fan club or were not prior members and attempted purchase.

This is all rs.com's fault for not properly linking the presale. The moment i bought the tickets i suspected something was wrong! It is so bloody wrong for them to put this back onto the fans. They should honour all purchases that were conducted, regardless of time of purchase. They have confirmed purchase, billed the credit cards and have no right at this point to withdraw tickets, provided the customer has followed the batch of instructions emailed to them.

Now it seems my email is down, perhaps theres still hope and Its been down for over an hour ?
6th March 2006 08:10 PM
Loki Update:

Got the email!!!

Thank goodness... Now to get my parents some tickets to Melbourne tommorow.

Man, what a relief!
6th March 2006 08:22 PM

6th March 2006 08:24 PM

6th March 2006 08:26 PM
