Finally, the word seems to be out: The Stones WILL celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Rolling Stones! The Stones management has issued a special MicroSoft Powerpoint Presentation to persuade possible sponsors to join the World Tour. In the document -which reveals some technical details -mentioned is the Stones will do an extensive world tour (including, for the first time ever!) China, and at all tour stops club and arena gigs will be performed. Further a CD box set will be issued with old and NEW material! Mistakenly the document was available on the net for a short time, and can now be down loaded at my site: http://stonesinreview.tiscaliweb.nl/

Thanks, this is pretty amazing stuff !
You're right they're not very clear about the recorde releases though...
New Album with SOME new songs and then what, old unreleased songs ?
or
New Album with SOME new songs and retrospective ?
Re-Enacting past performances should be fun too ! Let's get that inflatable penis from 1976 out !
PS - On a more personal point, I'm a bit saddened that they would cash in on their 40th anniversary. It's obviously for the money, but Christ, do they really need it ?
I'd rather see them release a new record and do a smaller scale tour like in 1999...
PS 2 - what's this about the Ronnie situation, are they getting rid of him ? He's a full fledged financial partner now !
