Starbuck My wallet was invited to shop at a 4 star guitar store last night. It's called "Willie's American Guitars". Some place called Cleveland and St Clair in St Paul. It's a rather large store, with over 15,000 guitars/accessories sold last year....

It ain't Guitar Center, but it doesn't suck either!

www.williesguitars.com

anyhoo, i walk in the door, and what do i see staring at me on the acousitic wall but a gibson J160E, just like johnny used to play....marked off because of a small defect (crack in the body that was repaired properly)...when i strummed those chords, it sounded crisp and clear and, god dammit, it turned heads....just like a "blowey" post circa December 2007.

now, she's sitting beside me in my cube whispering, "wait till we get home, my sweet....wait till we get home!"

and to top it off...IT'S FRYDAY!!!

Starbuck If you want to be a dick just to be a dick...that's fine with me. At least I can say that my band PLAYS IN FRONT OF PEOPLE.

I'd rather do what I do, than be in a dime a dozen "tribute" post.

You wanna keep being a dickhead, or do you want stop it now?

That is a damn fine - DAMN FINE - guitar, Bucky. How much that baby run with the defect? Hell, as long as she still sings, that's all that counts.
22nd February 2008 05:27 PM
Starbuck only $900. defect and all.

i'd let feej play it, but he would probably start to whine about blisters or some shit...you know how it goes....
22nd February 2008 05:27 PM
Fiji Joe What do you call a broken guitar?

feej, it's funny that you don't understand dynamics. He plays acoustic country blues. If he played hisdrums when they play acoustic, that is all you'd hear....his drums. And that would suck. So he bangs on a tambourine and shakes shakers. He does that because that is what the songs need to be heard, and musically speaking, it fits in better with the musical style he plays.
22nd February 2008 05:30 PM
pdog Is there any truth to the report of starbuck being the guy singing and playing guitar in this commercial?
