Ten Thousand Motels MOTLEY CRUE GO GLOBAL AS US TOUR SELLS OUT

Rockers MOTLEY CRUE are so delighted with the response to their virtually sold-out comeback tour in America, they're going global.

The group has added 57 shows to its 2005 North American schedule, and members VINCE NEIL, NIKKI SIXX, TOMMY LEE and MICK MARS are now planning a trip to Europe and the Far East.

The reformed rockers have also teamed up with SUM 41 and the EXIES for dates this summer (05).

Motley Crue Tour Surpassing Expectations

NASHVILLE (Billboard) - In a blockbuster that few in the industry saw coming, the reunited Motley Crue will end up playing well over 100 dates in 2005.

Nine shows into a 50-date North American tour, the Crue is doing sellout or near-sellout business. Now, the band has announced another 57 shows in North America, with a trip to Europe sandwiched between.

The first North American leg wraps May 1. The band will then play Europe and pick up again July 26 in Los Angeles for dates through Oct. 16 in Sioux City, Iowa, under the Carnival Of Sin tour banner.

For the first month of the summer run, Crue will join with several other hard rock bands for a larger package, among them Sum 41 and the Exies in select cities. Following the North American dates, the quartet will play Southeast Asia, Australia and Japan.

"This tour was not only great for Motley Crue but, as the first major tour of 2005, it's great for the business, especially with everyone coming off such a horrific year," the group's booking agent, Pete Papalardo, told Billboard.com.

The tour kicked off Feb. 24 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and featured 24 songs, including such favorites as "Shout at the Devil," "Kickstart My Heart," "Dr. Feelgood" and "Girls, Girls, Girls," plus a show-closing cover of the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the U.K."

Though I sure hope they won't tour at the same time as the stones, cos that would mean i'd have to make a choise...
